I'd take pretty much anything in The Two Babylons with a grain of salt. It has a tiny amount of truth mixed with a whole lot of fiction. Who has the time to sort it all out?

AMEN

that was ONE of my thoughts when ... trying to read through all this.. i want to say Malarkey

I mean, it sounds like it was written by someone obsessed w/ sex...

no thank you (to that)!

To me a crucifix is a reminder of what Jesus did for us... Looking at one is a moment to reflect and to therefore feel close to Him.. It is a way to understand our own sufferings as one of His..

I mean, what "they" did to Jesus is what "they" do to us lovers of Christ..

The world, the flesh and the devil crucify us..

"I preach Christ and Him crucified" (St Paul said)

If you look at a cross or crucifix, do you think of Jesus or the myriad of false idols that page is peddling?

The real power in the cross is the belief in it. Otherwise it is just a lowercase letter t, sometimes shown with a dead person on it. (No disrespect Jesus, just proving a point here)

Being RCC we see these silly conspiracies a lot. We just roll our eyes because people would rather believe the bizarre than listen to the truth.

There is no power in a symbol. There is power in what it symbolizes. If you think about it, two lines crossing has to be about the most rudimentary form of written language in any culture. What they all agree it represents will vary. The swastika is an ancient symbol representing divinity and spirituality. That’s not exactly what it represents today.
