I have added it to the list. I am currently still trying to sort out why the sword of Goliath was behind the ephod in the tabernacle at Nob, and teaching my friend the typology of Christ in Judges 19-21 ;)

And I have no tattoos nor any desire or affection for them!
I have an opinion as to why the sword of Goliath was there my brother from another mother,. Would you like to hear it?

Thanks for the admission. The abnormal is the new normal in CC.
Frankly, except for Moses Young, nobody else here seem to fear God.

If you don't have the fear of God, it's useless to talk about the love of God.
The fear of God and the love of God GO TOGETHER.
Just as Repentance and Faith GO TOGETHER.
And Salvation and Holiness GO TOGETHER. (If you are living unholy, worldly lives, you'll be in for a big shock in the future!)
By fear of God do you mean being afraid of God, or do you mean respecting God? I don't understand how having a tattoo becomes a salvation issue. There are many on this site that respect God but probably few that actually fear Him. "Fear not" says the Lord.

Matthew 10:34
Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword!
The sword
Ezekiel is watchman, and a sword of God showing to him, and Warning people.
For us, it's preaching the gospel.

@CharishHaroon

Ephesians 2:8-9 states:

“ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God: not of works, lest any should boast. “

Salvation is not dependent upon what we do. Salvation is all about faith in the Lord Jesus. Jesus alone is the Savior.

What do you believe about salvation in Jesus? Do you believe it is a free gift?

I have a pastor friend who has tattoos from years ago, is he demon possessed?
Of course not. The post should not be misunderstood. Presumably your pastor friend would do his utmost to discourage tattooing of Christians. But there is no question that pagans and criminals love tattoos.

I don't believe that is the point of this thread. But after a person is saved, his or her life is transformed. Which includes avoiding tattoos. If there is no change is attitudes and behavior, then perhaps salvation was not a reality.

Pagans began the idea of a wedding ring. I don't believe having a tattoo is an issue of salvation , do you?

Not an issue of salvation, but definitely an issue of sanctification and testimony. The Russian mafia and the MS-13 gangsters use tattoos as their trademarks.

I don’t believe all tattoos are wrong. I see it if someone feels tattoos are wrong then it is wrong for that person to get one.

The point of this thread is sheer arrogant, self-righteous bigotry.

Rev 3
12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.

OK

This is my opinion and yes I can be wrong :). why the sword of Goliath was behind the ephod in the tabernacle

AS I know you remember we must back it up a bit to when the Ark was taken and to where?

Yep, the Philistines temple placed right next to the false god Dagon. One thing God hates..... HATES!!!! is other gods.

We know what happened, God struct the Philistines and they placed gold and the ark on a cart and sent it back.

Prior to Goliath's demise, he was hurling insults to the children of Israel Blahpemying the ONE TRUE GOD and did so in the name of who?
His own god the bible says.

David who had the SPIRIT of the LORD on HIM came by, FINALLY, GOD had SOMEONE who HE could show that uncircumcised Philistine Who is the Real God because your god an't going to keep your head on your shoulders today.

David said DON"T WE HAVE A CAUSE? the Spirit of the Lord can upon him, and David ran out to meet this giant who said to him:

1sam 17:43

He said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

Goliath had to bring gods into this. For days blasphemed our God and Boasted and spoke evil about God the name of his god.

David took his head that day and HIS sword. That sword the weapon of the enemy was a fine sword the Bible says.

The sword of Goliath was living proof and a testimony to our God defeating the Giants!

Just like you and I are Living Proof of God's salvation and we too have things God gave us that were from the enemy what we hold now to use against him another day Just like David Did.

Jesus took the best weapons that the devil had and used on us and gave us victory over death hell and the grave.

it was only Fitting that David Should go out with his enemy's sword that was created to destroy him and use it on the very enemy who made it. The devil is bound for death hell and the grave.

IF that doesn't get you shouting and sending to CS1 $19.95 @ P.O Box Shout Amen! Oakland Califonia 94538. I don't know what else to tell ya.

I read that as, "definitely an issue of sanctimony"

... which is still appropriate for this thread. ;)

They love eating, sleeping, and sex too.

Are there any other fallacious arguments you'd like to propose?

Tattoos are no more demonic than ketchup.

We are all poisoned with the spirit of self-interest.

Self-interest divides and fragments us.

Many billion souls becoming ever more fragmented.

But, thank God, Love unites.

Think of the whole of mankind as one thing. A Unity. Currently very, very sick because of self-interest in each soul.

But Love overcomes! Light shines in darkness and darkness cannot stop it.

The Life has been given to us in Jesus Christ. Love lays down its life for others.

In Him was Light and the Light was the life of mankind. (John 1:4)

And the Son of God was manifest to destroy the works of the devil.

So, one day, soon I think, not by Power, nor by Might, but by Love, the works of the devil will be destroyed.
And mankind will be united with God and become One through Love.

No more self-interest, but total devotion to the whole and all and others. The strong feeling blessed that they may help the weak.

And soon all businesses will collapse.
And no one will even look at a Tesla. People will be disgusted by them. How were we ever deceived?
And gaming consoles and TVs will be piled high as mountains, and no-one will want a MacDonalds.
And we will know unbounded love for each other.
And we will know God.

I don’t believe all tattoos are wrong. I see it if someone feels tattoos are wrong then it is wrong for that person to get one.
That is called Relativism. "Relativism is a family of philosophical views which deny claims to objectivity within a particular domain and assert that facts in that domain are relative to the perspective of an observer or the context in which they are assessed."

So here is God's rebuttal to that: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. (Lev 19:28). "I am the LORD" stresses the fact that this commandment comes from God, and it is as valid for Christians as it was for Israel.

Tattoos, paganism, and false religions are all connected. And the Bible makes it perfectly clear that God's people MUST NOT tattoo themselves.

Here's some observations from "The History of Tattoos" website
[http://www.historyoftattoos.net]
"Ancient Egypt and India used tattoos as methods of healing and as methods of religious worship. They were also marks of a status in a society but also a punishment. Tattoos in Philippines were marks of the rank and accomplishments and people there believed that they have magical properties. [Note: magical properties and demonic spirits go together]

When Christianity appeared, tattooing was considered a barbaric tradition and it slowly faded in Europe. As the tattooing became cheaper it again was seen as a mark of a lower class [not to mention a trademark of criminals]. It stayed like that until 1960s and the hippie movement when it slowly entered mainstream changing from deviant behavior to acceptable form of self-expression..."

It is still regarded as deviant behavior for Christians.
