Yes, that verse has been abused a whole lot. The word "evil" in the KJV means "disaster, calamity, etc".

It sure doesn't mean evil in the sinful sense.

I think we tend to forget just WHO is the Creator as we strive to be best in throwing out scripture and personal interpretations!

Gen 1:31 refutes your claim. At the end of day 6, the day Adam was created, God said it was all good.

He is spirit , living in a body and have a soul. I BELIEVE WE AGREE on that?If you back up a bit ..

Gen 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them. "MAN" in this verse was referring to the spirit man . male and female also.

Read further to chapter 2

Gen 2:2-4 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

The male Man became condemned to death after he sinned thats why Jesus could marry the bride, safe man wholly. transferred from death to life. God bless
