What Catholic dogma has he denied to be true?
years ago, he said he would allow Catholics not in good standing with the Church (in mortal sin) to accept the Eucharist at Mass.. those invalidly married could receive Communion...
apparently, he didn't believe that the Host really is Jesus, as per Catholic teaching (See Jn 20:19 &..). Jesus does not want to be forced into the body of someone who is using said body to commit egregious sin--- like fornication, adultery, un-confessed abortion...
If someone is re-"married" to someone outside the laws of the Church (true spouse still living, presumed valid marriage to that person)... such laws coming from Christ himself.. that person is in a state of adultery and cannot receive Communion.
The pope was acting like: Hey, I know it's impossible for you to adhere to the Laws of Christ, so I will just allow you to break them"
I don't know if he changed his position or not... haven't heard but plenty of clergy complained and undoubtedly plenty of lay people..
