The church is holy, but it’s made up of sinners and saints.

I wonder why catholic make holy war?
Force people to convert or what?

Did Jesus on the New Testament teach to kill people that aren't accept Him?

The fact she make holy war itself make me doubt if she is real christian

Muslim do, kill suicide bombmer to kill infidel, because it is evil religion.
Seem there is similarity between catholic and Muslim.

It was to remove Muslims from occupying the holy land.

Sinful men within the Church throughout history either sought repentance or they didn’t and thus went to hell. That’s between them and God. Satan hates the Church and preys on the weaknesses of people in the hope it will dishonor the Christian faith. It happens all the time in Protestant Churches as well.

Protestants murdered many people during the reformation, Calvin burned people. People do very sinful things.

The RCC was evil then, and still evil today, another Jesus and Gospel

400+ counts of child molestation in Boston, (Cardinal Bernard Francis Law) jumped on a plane and escaped to "Vatican City" protected from extradition to the US to stand trial, by Pope John Paul II

His Eminence
Bernard Francis Law

Cardinal
Archpriest emeritus of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore
Archbishop emeritus of Boston

Law in the mid-1980s

Law was Archbishop of Boston from 1984 until his resignation on December 13, 2002, after his involvement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston sex abuse scandal became public knowledge, whereupon he fled the country. Law was proven to have ignored or concealed the molestation of numerous underage children;[1][2] church documents demonstrate that he had extensive knowledge concerning widespread child sexual abuse committed by dozens of Catholic priests within his archdiocese over a period of almost two decades, and that he failed to report these crimes to the authorities, instead merely transferring the accused priests between parishes.[3] One priest in Law's archdiocese, John Geoghan, raped or molested more than 130 children in six different parishes in a career which spanned 30 years.[3] Law was widely denounced for his handling of the sexual abuse cases, and his public image was irreparably tarnished in the aftermath of the scandal.

Two years after Law fled Boston, an act which Bishop William S. Skylstad called "an important step in the healing process",[4] Pope John Paul II appointed him Archpriest of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome in 2004. He resigned from this position upon reaching the age of 80 in November 2011 and died in Rome on December 20, 2017, at the age of 86.

The sins of individual adherents to a particular "church" are beside the point.

Simply put, you cannot be a faithful Catholic and a Bible-believing Christian; the two are mutually incompatible.

What an odd thing to say. Really reminds me of a recently banned Catholic who repeatedly made the same erroneous argument, haha, while at the same time being unable to provide proof of any writings pre 4th century for Catholic beliefs under discussion. Bamapapist.

The difference is, the vast majority of those identified stood trial for their actions, the RCC and the Pope protected the criminals

Imagine, Bernard Francis Law, 400+ counts of sexual abuse, he flees to Vatican City, protected by Pope John Paul II from Extradition to the US to stand trial (Evil) from the very leadership that you claim us a successor to the true church

There is no comparison to that, it was at the top of the RCC the Pope, as the world watched

I read that conversation. He made some good points. It’s a common thing among Catholics to want to believe what early Christians believed.

I did post my sources in two posts.

That Cardinal couldn’t stand trial, he didn’t break any law according to the Boston prosecutor.

What is common among Catholics is to accept beliefs that evolved over time
and were introduced hundreds of years after Christ instituted the new covenant.

No, that’s Protestantism. The reason why reformers like Calvin and Luther had to develop their particular Protestant doctrine (the Solas, Tulip, etc.) was because they didn’t exist before they made it up. There were no churches before then that taught that stuff.

When Bernard Cardinal Law, Archbishop of Boston, fled to the Vatican in late 2002, he left behind a trail of human and financial wreckage: 550 victims (and plaintiffs) abused by parish priests and court judgments that eventually topped $85 million. The actual number of victims, by some estimates, could be nearly three times the number who settled with the Church in 2003.

Meanwhile, Law was assigned a comfortable post in Rome, where he disappeared from the headlines.

All of that stuff is terrible that happened with the abuse. I never met this man and don’t know everything about him so I can’t really comment other than to say I hope nothing like this happens again.
