Romans Ch 12
5 We, though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another.
I believe this indicates all Christians are connected. When you die and go to heaven, you are still part of this mystical body with other Christians. If I can ask a Christian here to pray for me, then I should be able to do the same with our brothers and sisters in heaven. There is a lot more to this doctrine but that is the starting point of understanding it.

Well, as a Catholic, it is mandatory for you to believe the ex cathedra dogmas (there are only two and both are about Mary). Neither of these dogmas have any basis in Scripture, being both fanciful additions and contradicting what is actually and explicitly written. "Appreciative of Mary" does not begin to address the many ways Catholicism elevates Mary, which is not something Jesus did at all.

Which I might add dead people can't anoint you with oil. maybe a statue will seep oil to cause unexplained events yet, the Bible is very clear in How to pray Matthew chapter 6 & 7 who to pray to.
The same can be said for Catholicism in terms of what is believed. In fact I would not be surprised at all to discover that millions of Catholics do not even know that they are mandated to believe certain things, and it is also a fact that many do not follow what the popes decree any ways. Since you are aware of the differences between what you believe and what is considered heretical in Catholic beliefs by Protestants, you should not have a problem as long as you do not push your heresies.

it was Jesus who said Let the dead burial the dead. it was Jesus who gave us the model of prayer which is only said once in what is known as the rosary. What a wonderful thing is the Pope would come out and say do not pray and use the rosary it is an error.

There are no Scriptural arguments for either Marian dogmas. Both are impure fabrications.
The fact remains that Jesus did not elevate Mary in any way, while Catholics do in many ways, some that amount to blasphemy.
If someone says “pray to” then they are just opening the topic up for confusion to non-Catholics. The church teaches that we can ask saints to pray for us.
