SA, UK, France, Ireland, Scotland all basically on the same time
I didn't know that either. We are isolated out here.

Oh I didn't know that.
My cousin married a Scottish man and my previous landlords were Scottish.
We get everywhere ha ha.. I thought everyone knew lol.
my kiddos have some Scottish heritage (from hubs)....
We were walking the trails through the woods on day and someone was playing the pips ( would say bag pips, but after phils educational post now I dunno- so I'll just say pips)
so we heard the pips and it's very interesting how at first they were like "HEY! What's that sound?" but then quickly were naturally drawn to it.
So where is Wales then? Mum has that in her background and dad Irish. There are quite a few different nationalities in my background lol. Over here they call it a mixed bag of lollies.
We have a show here called Doc Martin. I'm not sure if that is filmed in Wales, UK, Scotland or Ireland. One of them. Beautiful scenery but looks cold.
that's part of their heritageThat's cool about your heritage, you have young celts running around your house lol![]()
CC is good for GG
it teaches me MUCH more about geography and the world than I ever learned in school
One of our libraries has a REALLY COOL world map.
When you walk into the kids room there is a HUGE (half circle like) wall. They have a world map on it.
My kids like looking at all the different countries and how they relate to where we are.
I look and go "Oh Ruby lives about here...... That's where Gandy is......."
I'll have to look for Phil's area next time.
We should rename the world according to our avatar namesThe centre point could be called "coffee" The drink that unites the nations.

Have friends from Boness, Scotland, they were explaining to me how Scotland['s people are not "Scottish", they are "Scot". That was 40 years ago they explained that, perhaps the times were different and "Scottish" is more accepted now. Phil may help me out on this.
They also mentioned Scots get they're education and then leave to make they're career or mark in the world, the Scotch and the wool are the greatest exports for them.
Gotta love the pipes, hadn't been educated that they are "pips" and not "pipes".
hmmmm but then what about the places that are TEA drinkers????
would they revolt up against coffee????
@seoulsearch I'm thinking this might be another topic for your great threads.......
coffee vs tea
what would happen in a world united ONLY by the coffee/tea preference..........
Are they male or female?okay, not really for me, but SOMEONE (clears throat... not naming ANY names) will agree/relate to this gif:
