Is there a certain criteria for worshiping that God has commanded or ordained His people to take part in? If so, then the church could be in danger of failing to operate under the biblical theology principle. Some denominations practice traditional ways in which they worship God that had been passed down from generation to generation that they believe characterize biblical worship. The Bible shows many forms of worship, thus giving Christians many examples of expressing our love for God. The Bible teaches that Christians can simply open their hearts to God, giving thanks for the many wonderful things He has done for His children. Also, praising His name and acknowledging His awesome power are other ways of worshiping God. Hebrews 12:28, "let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear."

Psalm 47:1 "O clap your hands......shout unto God with the voice of triumph." The worship of God is not only internal but external too.

1 Timothy 2:8 "Pray.....lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting." Anger and disbelief should not be in our hearts when worshiping our Lord.

John 4:24 "Worship in spirit and in Truth." True worship comes from the heart. It is a spiritual event. So, if our worship isn't in truth and if it isn't straight from the heart, it doesn't matter what form it is. In Isaiah 29:13, the people's worship didn't come from their hearts, so Isaiah condemns his own people for honoring God with just their "mouths" and "lips" and not with their hearts. Spiritual worship coming straight from our hearts is what God is looking for, rather than merely words or emotions of the moment.

Do we give all our heart to God? Do we let our jobs, material possessions, money, or family interfere with how we worship God? These things and others can hinder how we worship our Heavenly Father. These interferences can cause us to miss God's blessing when we are not totally focused on Him. The Greek word for worship can also mean, service. Our daily lives and how we live it should be an act of service or worship to our loving Father. When we think of worship and how to worship God, we shouldn't overthink it. Worship is simply our reaction to our love for our Heavenly Father.

No man can come into His Courts without first being washed in the blood of the Lamb, then and only then will his worship be acceptable before God.

Good topic.
---
Many churches do not have 'normal worship' services..nowadays.
- Due to pandemic/Covid 19.
---
Maybe, it is time to search/reflect.. on the meaning of the 'worship' again..

Jesus said in John chapter 4:23-24

23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

the expression of praise and worship we do in a church setting can still be ones the Father doesn't accept.

All we do must be done in faith. Without faith is impossible to please God. Those who come to HIm MUST Believe that HE is and a rewarder of those who seek Him with their whole heart.

Lifting hands, singing, etc... should be the effect of those who worship God (not a requirement) but it is love for God and faith that produces the action.

giving, praying, serving, obeying, following, all are to be done out of love to God.

We should worship God exactly how Jesus taught in the gospel that’s what the gospel is meant to do teach us about God the father and what his will for us is

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:”
‭‭2 John‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you know this part in scripture ?

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭

that is meant to be understood among the rest of his word

We worship by spirit

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and by truth

“...To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the reason we have to believe the gospel is because that is the truth about worshipping God from his own mouth he taught us all we need to know to know him and be saved

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:19-20‬ ‭

we can’t worship God in spirit and truth unless we accept the spirit and truth offered in the gospel simplistically it is to hear and believe the gospel that’s how we know what God desires of us

it does indeed boil down to how we treat other people in his name we need to learn what God taught in order to know what he desires from us that’s why Jesus came to teach us

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”
‭‭John‬ ‭7:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we worship God through Christ and his teachings

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Proper worship of God is to accept the gospel of his dear son as his everlasting word and begin to let in the understanding he gave us to know him and be saved
