In Isaiah 28:9, the Lord asks whom shall He make to understand doctrine, to which He replies in the following verse 28:10, and confirms again in 28:13: those who are weaned from milk and drawn from the breast; to whom the Word is precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. What the Lord informs us here is that the Judeans did not want to progress any further than their basic understanding of what the Lord informs them in His Word.
I find this same resistance to the full understanding of the Word with the OSAS group, who want only to understand Salvation in its most basic form, while rejecting the meat of salvation. Rather than making this another discussion on Salvation, I hope we can just acknowledge that there are other verses in the Word about salvation being more than its basic concept. Those who will not acknowledge this most obvious fact, will then in effect just continue to intake milk only.
Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isaiah 28:13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
