MERCY ME

Well, mercy, mercy, mercy me,
What's going on at Calvary?
There's a man hanging from a tree,
They say He died for you and me.
A thief on the left, a thief on the right,
By the grace of God, one of those men has seen the Light.
And, look, there's Soldiers gambling for His coat,
Wasn't that what the Prophets wrote?

What are they gonna do, when this world is through?
What are they gonna say, come the Judgement Day?

Well, mercy, mercy, mercy me,
What's going on at Calvary?
They've put that man in a cave,
Said it was a rich mans grave.
They got a big ole rock for a door,
Soldier standing there said: "Don't worry, He won't be back anymore."
For two days, it's been a fright,
All the Christians have fled from sight.

What are they gonna do, when this world is through?
What are they gonna say, come the Judgement Day?

Well, mercy, mercy, mercy me,
What's going on at Calvary?
That big ole rock's been rolled away,
There ain't no body in that grave.
The Resurrection is at hand,
Death couldn't HOLD THE SON OF MAN!

What are they gonna do, when this world is through?
What are they gonna say, come the Judgement Day?

Well, mercy, mercy, mercy me,
What's going on with you and me?
All those years have past somehow,
Things don't seem much different now.
There's people living in the streets,
No place to bathe, or sleep, or eat.
There's babies dying by the Doctors hand,
Just because it's the Law of the Land.
There's women and children being beat,
Does the blame lay at our feet?

What are we gonna do, when this world is through?
What are we gonna say, come the Judgement Day?

Well, mercy, mercy, mercy me,
What's going on with you and me?
Did Christ Jesus die in vain,
Or will you now confess His Name?

What are you gonna do, when this song is through?
Will you kneel and pray?
Or, will you turn and walk away?

Well, mercy, mercy, mercy me,
Please sweet Jesus have mercy on me.

Happy Resurrection Sunday!!!

Two nephews of my church elder who lives near me delivered a couple
of small Paska cakes to me this morning just before our zoom church
meeting :D Yum! Ha, I would show you a pic but I have eaten them both...
the first one right away, and the second one just a little while ago :D
They were about the size of an English muffin, though very different in
texture because it was a very dense cake, and strongly orange flavored,
with icing and sprinkles, too! :)
Paska is a Ukrainian Easter bread tradition
and particularly spread in countries with predominant Eastern Orthodox
religious or cultural connections to the ancient Byzantine Empire.

My neighbour surprised me as well yesterday. It was a pleasant surprise. She had a family party for Easter and then later on came over with a plate of food she had made. On it was what she called a Nepalese chicken curry that she googled the recipe off the internet. It was yummy. In fact I plan on googling the recipe myself. Also she gave me this cute array of little easter eggs in a basket with a cute fluffy baby chicken. I was a little shocked. I had an emotionally difficult week and it did not seem as though the Lord was anywhere near but he surprised me through her.

Aw, I am sorry to hear you had such a trying week. I hope you are feeling better now... Small unexpected kindnesses are the best, yes? Hee hee I have not had an Easter basket in almost forever LOL. We used to do them when I was a kid, with the shredded multi-colored paper and the mallow eggs and jelly beans and what not... chocolate galore, no doubt. Oh, the bunnies! The chocolate bunnies lolololololol. Did you eat the ears first? Or nibble on the toes? Ugh, one year I ate so many mallow eggs I made myself sick and got hives? I guess it was hives. Almost egg shaped, large elongated slightly elevated lumps on my tummy.

Someone is setting off fireworks at the beach right now

Thanks Magenta.
These were little eggs the mini ones. I have had a few, they are pretty persuasive lol. I think I need to find a kid I can give the rest to.
Hives, wow you must have have overdone the sugar lol.
This is the cute little chicken she put in it

Do you live near the beach, that would be great. I would be there almost everyday esp going for a walk. Love doing that sort of thing. My friend used to call me mountain goat. I love going for walks, sometimes I would easily do 12km a day. I would walk from the city to the beach and back. She never walked lol. Maybe the fireworks is celebrating Easter??

How's my Monday going?

Oh Gary, you really need to slow down on the Easter eggs and go for a walk. You have eaten too much. Then you need to get your shopping done and do a few things around the house before the start of the week. Your Monday has been pretty slow so far.
