Got some news for you. Even believers who are out of fellowship cannot please God. Rom 8:8 applies to believers.
Ever heard of "grieving the Spirit" or "quenching the Spirit"? Those verses were written to believers, and they were told to NOT do those things.
Were you aware of that?
Believers who grieve and/or quench the Spirit are acting fleshly. Paul even accused the Corinthian believers of being "in the flesh", or carnal.
Did you even read the verse? Well, let's do that.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Do you understand what "comes to Him" means? It means in faith.
The verse also tells us what man MUST BELIEVE in order to come to Him:
1. that He exists
2. that He reward those who earnestly seek Him
Where is election in that verse? It is non-existent.
And you are free to provide your own understanding and refute mine, if able.
