Grace And Peace, Precious friend(s). I believe it is a very serious matter
to determine Which version of “the Bible” Is “The Correct Word Of God!”

I am sure we All agree, do we not, that we are All going to each give an "account To HIM,"
(2 Corinthians 5:10), According to His Gospel of Grace, To Paul (Romans 2:16), correct?
Thus, in Light of Paul's "...knowing therefore The Terror Of The LORD..." {v. 11}, to me,
I humbly present why I personally believe KJV Is “The Best Bible” to read/study:

(1) Q: Is IT not God’s Pure And PRESERVED WORD!?:

The WORDS Of The LORD Are Pure WORDS: as silver tried
in a furnace of earth, Purified Seven Times. Thou Shalt Keep THEM,
O LORD, Thou Shalt PRESERVE THEM from this generation for ever.”

(Psalms 12:6-7 KJB!)

Now, Comparing This, with a couple of newer versions, what do we find?

NASB: “The words of the Lord are pure words…You, Lord, will keep them;
You will protect him from this generation forever.

NIV: “The words of the Lord are flawless…You, Lord, will keep the needy
safe
and will protect us forever from the wicked,...

Do these Also claim God’s “Purity And Preservation for ALL generations”?

They both claim “pure/flawless” words, but, then they both
Omit Some Of: “Preserve THEM from this generation for ever” and
Change words TO the noted “Different” words above. How is that Purity?

Q: Will The Holy Spirit, our Blessed Teacher, Help us understand
The Purity of These Words,” considering these newer versions
have Changed Them? How, then, do we “study AND agree”?

{Diligent/Noble Berean students can find MANY of These Changes
{And, Also “omissions”}, and Prayerfully/Carefully decide for themselves
about the “Purity of God’s Words,” and which version is best, for them,
correct?}

(2) I personally have decided on Both “The Purity And The
Preservation Of The Authorized Version/underlying manuscripts,”

for the following reasons:

Q2: Is The Following the “Reason” why the newer versions Cannot claim:

God’s Promise To “Preserve HIS Pure Word for ALL generations”?

Since the newer versions did not appear until about 1880,
would not that be a “Lack Of Preservation,” due to the fact
that the underlying {older/better?} manuscripts had to be
“Re-discovered/translated,” Skipping the generations since 1611?

Can that be God’s Purpose For HIS Pure/Preserved Word?

+

(3) God's Pure/Preserved Word Is ABOVE All Else! Is IT not?:

"I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy HOLY
Name for Thy LovingKindness and for Thy TRUTH: for Thou
Hast MAGNIFIED Thy WORD Above All Thy Name!
"
( Psalms 138:2 KJB! )

imho, unless I am mistaken, on Judgment Day, I would Not want
one of the "good deeds done in my body," to be “Bad, by my claiming”
that corrupt/Changed/Missing words {translated from older/hidden
{UNpreserved} manuscripts into “newer easier-to-read/understand
versions,” are to be:

God's Pure Word, Which Is Magnified Above All Of God’s Pure/Holy Name,”

would you, Precious friend(s)?
Finally:

IF it is true that “Many {~~ 64,000?} Of “God’s PURE Words”
are missing {ie: Acts 8:37 NASB et al?} from newer versions, then,
IF the “version user” Cannot read Them {because They are missing},
how is it possible then, for that one to obey God’s Exhortation:

“man Shall Not live by bread alone, But By EVERY Word
That Proceedeth Out Of The Mouth Of God!
(Matthew 4:4 cp Luke 4:4; Deuteronomy 8:3 KJB!)?

Just wondering: How can God's "children of light" be in agreement
when each uses a Different Problematic version?: Are we not all,
By A Faithful God:

"...Called Into Fellowship With God's SON, The LORD JESUS CHRIST"
(
1 Corinthians 1:9 KJB!), And, should we not all be:

"Endeavouring to keep The Unity Of God's Spirit In The Bond Of
PEACE!..." (
Ephesians 4:3 KJB!), obeying God's Exhortations!:

...speak...the things which become Sound Doctrine!”
(
Titus 2:1 cp "SAME mind And judgment!" 1 Corinthians 1:10 KJB!)?

Being faithful And Pleasing to our LORD and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST, Correct?

--------------------------------------------

Addendum: Some do Not like archaic words in God’s Preserved Word,
but isn’t that Why God Commands us to “study”? I.e.:

“...we which are alive and remain unto the coming of The LORD shall not
prevent [precede] them which are asleep…” (1 Thessalonians 4:15 KJB!)

Once I “studied & found the meaning,” have never had any problem since. Amen?
+
I would also, when Prayerfully/Carefully “studying, like to know," When "God Is
Addressing"
one person {singular: thee, thine, & thou}, or More than one person
{plural: ye/you/your}. Could make a Huge Difference in His Pure Words, correct?

Since newer versions have Totally Lost these distinctions, considering
“you/your” Could be Either singular OR plural, causing Confusion, of
which
God Is Not the author of,” (1 Corinthians 14:33 KJB!), correct,
Precious friend(s)?

Conclusion: Besides changing God’s PURE Words, is there not Also
HIS “Command NOT
to Add, Nor To Take Away From HIS Word!”?
(
Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18-19 KJB!)

So, yes, I sincerely believe This Is “A Very Serious And Important”
decision Of faith to be made! After all, "a corrupt {#} version Will
Cause a corrupt faith,” correct? Since God’s PURE Word Teaches:

...faith cometh by hearing, and hearing By The WORD Of God!”
(
Romans 10:17 KJB!)

Be Blessed!

{#} Corruption had Already Begun in "Paul's day," thus it should not
surprise us, that it very well Could be in our midst, today, correct?:

"For we are not as many, which corrupt The Word Of God: but as
of sincerity, but as of God, in The Sight Of God speak we in CHRIST."
(2 Corinthians 2:17 KJB!)

Precious friend(s), instead of All of the Mass Confusion, is not
God's Simple Will Much Better?

You do know there are other translations before the KJV in English? Then of course, more in other languages like German. Then we have the ancient manuscripts that often prove every version could use better words in certain scriptures. It is why when you study, you study multiple translations including the interlinear Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek to English.

I'm stuck at "Authorized By God" lol. Are we using only one Hebrew/Greek to translate? I have many bibles and some are close the the org translation. Its just so wonderful to see what others read and understand that I might not or miss.

I'm sure your research is as careful as your reading of Psalm 12, wherein it says,

"Thou Shalt preserve them FROM this generation for ever."

In other words, your premise is fatally flawed from the start.

This subject has been beaten to death repeatedly. The KJV is the best only in the opinion of those who think it's the best. Period, end of conversation. Now kindly go and find something to discuss that does NOT seek to divide the body of Christ.

I am in full agreement with you (along with a few others). However many on this forum (and other Christian forums) fight this tooth and nail.

Galatians 2
7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

This verse is probably a good reason why people are indifferent towards the KJV, those that starts with the axiom "There is only ONE gospel".

They prefer the modern versions, such as NKJV that states

7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter

Agreed on KJV as for english.

Translations, however, are translations.

So let's always go back to the original languages and texts.

Wasnt the KJV was originally authorized by the church of England, not God lol

Scriptures in the orignal tongues we originally penned by the different authors that wrote them down eg Moses, Solomon, David and all the prophets. And later, for the NT Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. and Paul.

Its fair to say the Holy Bible was INSPIRED by God though.

As far as I know, Jesus never said that only those who read the KJV will enter into eternal life via the narrow gate.

God is not limited by translations or versions. How do you think that people got saved prior to the KJV being written??

Grace And Peace, Precious friend(s). I believe it is a very serious matter

NASB: “The words of the Lord are pure words…You, Lord, will keep them;
You will protect him from this generation forever.

Q: Will The Holy Spirit, our Blessed Teacher, Help us understand

have Changed Them? How, then, do we “study AND agree”?

{Diligent/Noble Berean students can find MANY of These Changes
{And, Also “omissions”}, and Prayerfully/Carefully decide for themselves
about the “Purity of God’s Words,” and which version is best, for them,
correct?}

God's Pure Word, Which Is Magnified Above All Of God’s Pure/Holy Name,”

would you, Precious friend(s)?
Finally:

IF it is true that “Many {~~ 64,000?} Of “God’s PURE Words”

It's not as simple as you make out. If it was, there would be no need for prophets, pastors and teachers. I was saved in 1972. I think I said 1971 before, which is not correct. Just about every preacher I heard (and I went to every meeting and conference that I could) spent time explaining where the meaning of the KJV words had changed or the translators had insufficient knowledge to translate correctly. I ended up buying several different Bibles to compare them.

After decades of study, I've settled mostly on the NASB and Amplified. I'm also virtually a disciple of the best Bible teacher since the Reformation, Watchman Nee. People like W. Nee are steeped in Greek and Hebrew. He was not content with a superficial understanding of God's word. I also had the privilege of being mentored by one Ivor Marshall. Few people of heard of him, but he was a man of God with much revelation. He was also my brother and friend, especially when I was struggling.

My advice is not to get hung up on versions. I use Bible Hub extensively, which has most versions. I often look at the literal as well as the interpretation. One vital thing to note and to keep in mind: Lord Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit to lead us into the truth. Lord Jesus is the "Living Word". The Bible is the written word. We need to be sure that we not allow the written word to become more important than the Living Word.

As far as I know, Jesus never said that only those who read the KJV will enter into eternal life via the narrow gate.

God is not limited by translations or versions. How do you think that people got saved prior to the KJV being written??
Excellent point.

So let's always go back to the original languages and texts.
Absolutely. But let's keep in mind the doctrine of the divine preservation of Scripture, which was trashed by modern liberal critics (both Higher and Lower critics). It ultimately leads to the Authorized Version. The Psalmist said "Thy Word is forever settled in Heaven" and that should be the basis of this doctrine.

We know that God preserved the Tanakh (Old Testament) through scribes (sopherim). This became a hereditary occupation, and the Hebrew scribes had such great veneration for every letter of the Bible that they even counted the letters. And if there was even a single error, they discarded what they had transcribed and started from scratch.

Thus the Lord Jesus Christ -- speaking about 1500 years after Moses -- could confidently assert that the Scriptures (which spoke of Him,) consisted of (1) the Law (5 books), (2) the Prophets (8 books), and the Psalms (11 books beginning with the Psalms). That is a total of 24 books (which were later rearranged and split up into 39 books as found in Protestant bibles). Both Christ and His enemies believed without the shadow of a doubt that the OT was the very Word of God. Thus Christ always said to His detractors "Have ye not read?"

Now the Masoretic Text of the OT, upon which the KJB is based (as found in the Mikraot Gedolot or Rabbinic Bible from the 16th century) dates from around 1000 AD in the Leningrad Codex. But when scholars examined the Isaiah scroll from around 200 BC (which was among the Dead Sea Scrolls), it was an almost exact replica. This confirmed the divine preservation of the Bible for over 1200 years. Going back to Moses then, we have a total of almost 3,000 years of continuous divine preservation, as stated here : "The text of the Great Isaiah Scroll is generally consistent with the Masoretic version and preserves all sixty-six chapters of the Hebrew version in the same sequence..."

The same principle applies to the New Testament Textus Receptus (Received Text) for which over 5,000 manuscripts dating from the 2nd to the 14th centuries are found to agree in the majority of manuscripts, even though they come from various regions and different times.

The problem arose when modern critics resorted to corrupted manuscripts for both the OT and NT (to prove how clever they were). They had a perverse desire to discard the majority of manuscripts and promote a handful of very corrupt manuscripts as "the best" because they happened to be the oldest. In this case oldest translated into "the worst", as clearly established by conservative textual scholars. But the damage was done, and the movement for modern bible versions began in 1881 and has continued to this day. And it is accompanied by animosity to the KJB (along with all kinds of nonsensical propaganda)

There were very few evangelists, pastors, teachers, professors, or theologians who questioned those promoting the corrupt manuscripts. But Edward F. Hills was a genuine scholar who wrote The King James Version Defended, and spelled out everything for the general reader. But to get to the heart of the Great Bible Version Hoax one needs to read and study The Revision Revised by Dean John Willian Burgon (an outstanding 19th century scholar). Both books are available from Amazon.

The issue is not whether someone cannot get saved by using a modern version. The issue is "Which English translation out to 20 or more translations and paraphrases can be, and should be trusted as the very Word of God?". And there is no question that the Bible that has been around for over 400 years is the one to be trusted. Commentators and preachers from the 18th to the 20th centuries had no trouble holding to the trustworthiness, accuracy, and reliability of the King James Bible. And for those who prefer an updated KJB there is the King James 2000 Bible (but NOT the corrupted New King James Version).

Do you have any sources as for Watchman Nee's credentials in Greek and Hebrew.?

I wish not to argue or be offensive but some of his teachings are very risky business nevertheless. Won't go into that here, anyone interested may use search engines to see for themselves.
