Faulty logic: one gets lost for something one does = one gets saved for something one does.

That's not how it works. Just sayin'.

Goods works is the fruit of salvation, not a condition for salvation.

Confuse these two and you end up with self-righteousness and pride, competing and comparing yourselves to other people (not God) and dream up how "holy" you think you are.

Actually this is not resisting.

When you Love God and your neighbor. Your not tempted. Thats why the law of love is far better than the law of moses.

Gods people DO his will. Not to become Gods people but because they are Gods people.

Faith produces works. Works do not produce faith.

If it is grace it is no longer works. We are saved by Grace through faith. for good works.

So before you go attacking others. You should look inside. Taking 2 passages out of context does not help your case

You can't keep the law, Its impossible. As jesus said, there is only one Good and that is God.

While you phony person is having sex with his neighbors wife. You have your own besetting sin. Yet here you are like the pharisee pumping your chest how your not like the sinner.

I pray you repent soon and see yourself as God sees you. Stop judging others. and take care of your own sin.

Have you noticed that peldom10, apparently bailed on us; rather than answer the three questions I asked him:

Do you Believe you are Sinless or have stopped Sinning ?
Do you believe in the HOLY TRINITY ?
And what Denomination do you call HOME ?

That was after midnight on Friday, at 1:06 Saturday morning.

You are suggesting I'm "new age religion" yet the views you express are likely such. I have no religion but am a Christ Follower. And the comment OSAS requires no baptism is a false statement you make. You have no power to "maintain" what God has given and Christ has provided and the Holy Spirit sealed.

So happy to see you agree with me that there’s no dichotomy between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law, because if we’re keeping the spirit of it, were automatically keeping the letter.

Paul was referring to our motivation for obeying it - attempting to obtain salvation- when he said “the letter kills”.

You had better study what NEW AGE Religion actually Teaches. They have GURU's that claim they are the Reincarnation of Christ, and they teach that Man can become a god too.

Amen! You've proven my point that if a Christian is keeping the "spirit of the law", he's automatically keeping the "letter of the law" because if he refrains from "looking in lust", he's automatically refraining from the actual physical act.

So, then, how does the letter of the law that kill? When our motivation is to merit salvation.
So, then, how does the spirit of the law give life? When our motivation is gratitude for God having saved us.
