thing is L4H, you are not the first person I have heard make comments about this (unless it WAS you who posted something SOMEWHERE on CC a few weeks back about Amazons anitchristian "policy"- it was a news article link somewhere).
After talking bout current political events with hubs last night we concluded and questioned why the Christians this is happening to don't just ban together and file a HUGE discrimination suite against Amazon........
that really ticks me off, but more so is that they owe you so much and think they can withhold it from you!!!!??????
That goes way up on my prayer list.
Hi, Godsgirl83.
I didn't post the article that you mentioned (I joined less than 2 weeks ago), nor am I familiar with it, but I would be interested in reading it if you can find it.
As I type, my account is still terminated, and I haven't received any further emails from Amazon, even though I was told yesterday that they would get back to me. I suspect that I'll hear something from them before this day is through, but only time will tell.
The more that I think about what happened, the worse it looks for Amazon.
I mentioned yesterday my "Christian design" that I believe caused my account to be terminated, but it's definitely different from my other truly Christian designs.
In other words, all of my other truly Christian designs contained scripture as part of the designs, but this particular one did not.
Instead, it was merely an image of a cartoonish-looking bear with an angry look on its face with the words "NOT TODAY" above him and the word "SATAN" below him. In other words, it was a "NOT TODAY SATAN" shirt, and that is not only a commonly-seen phrase on shirts (for crying out loud, the WalMart near where I live sells "NOT TODAY SATAN" shirts), but there are a MULTITUDE of "NOT TODAY SATAN" shirts currently being sold on Amazon, and anybody could easily verify this for themselves by just going to amazon.com and typing "not today satan shirt" in the search box and clicking enter.
Here's the deal, though...
There are two distinct groups of people who sell t-shirts on Amazon:
1. Those who do their own printing and who sell on Amazon APART FROM Merch by Amazon.
2. Those who don't do their own printing and who sell on Amazon THROUGH Merch by Amazon.
In other words, Amazon seems to have different guidelines when people are doing their own printing as opposed to when they are doing the printing for them.
I can't quote you the message that Merch by Amazon sent us back in January because my account is no longer accessible to me, but in early January they informed us of updated restrictions that were going into effect in March, and these updated restrictions included design submissions which were offensive to other religions.
If my "NOT TODAY SATAN" submission is what got my account terminated, and I truly believe that it is, then this means that Merch by Amazon literally terminated my account so as to not "offend" SATANISTS!
THIS is why I presently believe they don't want to tell me why my account was terminated...for fear that I might contact the Media or something while exposing them as SATAN DEFENDERS.
Anyhow, I'm not the type of person to just let things like this go without a fight, so we'll see how this all turns out in the end.
