"Rightly Dividing" 2 Timothy 2:15

" rightly dividing " = clear to understand.
Modern translation = changes to whatever you want it to mean .

if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand,​
and if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand​
(Matthew 3:24-25) ​

if God's word is "divided" it cannot stand.
therefore 'rightly dividing' it is not seeking to divide it at all.

my view is -- use it right, in alignment with the spirit of the cut, of the parry, and of the thrust. cut straight, not crooked.

you want to talk about Noah? then understand how it is testifying of Christ. use it to teach the gospel - Peter did.
saying 'we're not supposed to build an ark; that scripture isn't for us' is not, in my opinion, skillfulness with the sword. it's like having a double edged weapon and deciding one edge is only for decoration - by saying so you haven't proven that the back edge is not for war; you've proven that you don't understand its use.

is says rightly dividing . Mathew 3.24 with context says 'divided '. Different context , completely different meaning. Its strange why you make that connection, that's quite a stretch?

Let's go with 'use it right ' . How vague is that ? 'use it right ' how ? It raises more questions than it answers.

You don't have a verse that tells you how to use the word . Other than ' use it right ' . The response to that instruction should be " yeah thanks for stating the obvious, but how ? "

'search 'yes that would tie in with the bereans who were more noble ect . But without rightly dividing you may miss the sign posts in your search .

There was no need to rightly divide the word of truth before Paul, because there was only one truth, Israel's truth.

You were either Israel and part of the covenants, or you were not and completely excluded from the covenants. Ephesians 2:11-12

So all of Israel's truth was for a believer, before Paul.

The command is to “STUDY”; the command is to “study” the word of God; the command is to “study” so that you can “RIGHTLY DIVIDE” those words of truth.

As its evident every cult and False religion sits in the four gospels and has no clue of ' rightly dividing ' ,you can line up all day long every verse that ' testifies of Jesus ' ,and have no understanding on how to appropriate.

A narrow view, would be to be ignorant of the arguments for both sides, which i already stated . You missed it. I'm not arguing.
