Once, when I was growing up, I thought, instead if competing with people to get ahead.... why don't I try listening. I feel it was God-inspired, that I shouldn't always want to win, but to learn every step of my life. However, then as scripture will lead to.... apparently once we take this stance... God will give us the authority. The trouble is... many want the authority when they have never humbled themselves... and in the other end, many will have humbled themselves, and God graced them... and few will listen to them... as many prophets were disregarded.... and I don't think we have to be prophets to have been given authority... but we should be able to hear it in the speech... for God will always give us at least that... once we learn... His ways correctly I think. It's always in the "truth".

Why do people make blanket statements that put others down while attempting to make themselves look better?
Is it humility that causes them to accuse en masse while stating their own superiority on the issue?

Why do people hate being humbled? Because it stings? The bible compares it to circumcision.

Deut 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

STIFF-NECKED, adjective [stiff and neck.] Stubborn; inflexibly obstinate; contumacious; as a stiff-necked people; stiff-necked pride.

And yet it is a sting... that has an amazing relief! Stings for a moment... frees the heart for ages! Try it! It's great. Once I figured it out, I was saying "I'm sorry" every time it was called for.... and over time... it just got better and better.... humility... the scary salvation...
seems scary....
but feels as good as a hug later!

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

A lot of Christians are frustrated at other Christians who are not keeping the ' rules ' as well as them. The burden is bad enough without seeing others talking about the fact they are eternally secure .

Ouch! Stingy thingy indeedy! I had never studied/thought about the foreskin-pride connection, but I see that it is Biblical. Good point.

Lol. Despite the scriptures, I think Israel became prideful about being circumcised, which is ironic if it was to be used as a metaphor for humility. We are no different - often becoming proud of being humble.

Why did BBM just get banned?
Pride?
