when He said "forgive them, for they know not what they do" -- who was He talking about?

I go with what it says and what it means. World in 2 Cor 5:19 is the Elect world that doesnt have its sins charged to it. There is another world that does have its sins charged to it and its condemned 1 Cor 11:32

The reason you change what scripture SAYS is because of what you BELIEVE .
You believe that ,because Jesus dies for a person's sins this has to mean they Automatically have to be saved . That has nothing to do with scripture but it has everything to do with Calvinism .

Our sins were paid for 2000 years ago . But if neither of us recieved Jesus then we would end up lost . Having our sins paid is just one aspect of salvation . Many people are lost inspite of having their sins paid for . Thats the greatest tragedy of it all .

He never said " pssst don't forget to go to those lost gentile sheep also " .
No it was not lawful .

Its not until Acts 11 is there a ' going to gentiles.. 10 years after Acts 2 .

Jesus said He laid down His Life for the Sheep, its jewish Sheep and Gentile Sheep.

Jesus said He laid down His Life for the Sheep, its jewish Sheep and Gentile Sheep.

Just says sheep ..in context that those ' sheep hear his voice . Those that were following the Father should recognise the Sons teachings. Who should recognise the old testament teachings? Gentiles ? No that would be silly . Especially in light of
Matthew 15:24

“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 10:6

19¶Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

We have reports of the world of terrorists have been plotting to strike on the world of Americans some time in the fall . The world of united Kingdom has vowed to join the world of Americans in the fight of the world of terrorism coming out of the world of Iran . The world needs to decide who's side they are on . The world of media are speculating that the world may see dark times ahead. Especially as the world has been under lockdown since the world's pandemic began in the world of China. The world of those already receiving the vaccines can begin to see the world afresh with the hopes that when the world of those yet to recieve vaccines can join the world in the peace of mind that the world can be returning to some level of a normal world .

There are Jewish Sheep and Gentile Sheep. The Sheep are the Body of Christ. Thats why its called a flock Acts 20:28-29

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
