I've been at my parents teleworking for 8 months and counting, and I haven't cooked once. If I was married, I couldn't get away with this!

But seriously, my mom loves cooking and I'm not a picky eater at all (I can eat the same thing for lunch for the whole week). I like cooking but do enjoy this time of not cooking.

The most single thing I've done is making a gallon of boiled custard every Wednesday.

See there's this local farm that has dexter cows, and they give milk that is very, very low in lactose. So since I can drink it without severe sinus crud, I have taken to getting a gallon of milk on my Wednesday off and cooking up a batch of boiled custard.

This is a very single thing because if I were married my wife would either lecture me about my health habits... or drink boiled custard too, and then it would never last until next Wednesday.

what, dont married people eat chips on the couch, my dad does that, plus goes out and takes pics without telling my mum where hes going...

As far as I know, nothing much changes when you are married. for the men anyway. Women just have to clean up more.

spoken like a single person😁👍
oh I'm sure things change when married, as the Bible states once married you Are As One so it can be more tense knowing that your other half may not like some rather annoying habits you might have and face consequences like severe lectures or chores😁😁😁

Well, the one thing that I can think of is learning the Scottish smallpipes. It's not really a single thing but the amount of time I've spent on it can only be done by a single person ;)

Joe,

I just wanted to tell you that this is a great thread!!! :) Please keep them coming!

I wish I could think of a unique, clever, and funny enough story to contribute... But EVERYTHING I do seems to be so "single-ish" that I could never pinpoint just one thing over another. :D

My whole life is a single-est single thing!!! :)

As of late, I’d say spending the entire day reading. 💗 Not that I couldn’t do that if I were taken, but the time is probably not going to be there.

well that would depend on your spouse, plus not to mention if you were to have kids hypothetically whether biological or adopted, there may be time to read at some point but, either way both are bound to need attention, there's something to be said for solitude just depends on perspective😀👍To some being single or living alone can be scary the loneliness part, for some others it can mean peace of mind, rest and relaxation, and doing nearly anything without so much restriction, reading is a great outlet for calming the mind whether single or married especially since it doesn't require much preparation, just getting comfortable and using glasses if needed, glad you enjoy it😀👍
spending a day doing what you like is a very single thing to do😀😀😀

Welcome back, Joseph! :)

The single most single thing I have done is lived for months in
my social distancing bubble with just my cat :giggle: Other than going
out every three weeks or so for medical reasons, I have been home
alone since last August  Perhaps another thing that would qualify
is scarfing down four big bags of organic blue corn chips with flax
seeds along with great gobs of salsa in less than a week. Super delish! :D

Thank you Magenta, glad to see you are still here and doing good😀😀😀
That sounds pretty great spending time with your cat😀 and scarfing some chips😁👍
I'm thinking on Scarfing me some Takis stick chips😋😋😋
they aren't good for me but, I been doing my best on resisting drinking or eating too much and steering clear of citrus acid so I like to reward myself now and then😁😁😁👍👍👍👍

I may or may not have started petting and talking to a stuffed animal like it's alive.

Wait, stuffed animals aren't really alive!?

But... but... mine always answer back when I talk to them...

And one in particular even has a regular habit of backtalking. 😳🤨🤔
