Revelation 6 -- There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed

6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals,

For thousands of years none was worthy to open the seals because none was worthy to be the lamb that takes away the sins of the world. Each one of these seals is opened by the lamb.

and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder,

Thunder accompanies lightning. Jesus said that He saw Satan falling as lightning when the apostles and the 70 were out preaching the gospel.

Come. 2 And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon had a bow; and there was given unto him a crown: and he came forth conquering, and to conquer.

There are a lot of different interpretations about what this horse is. Let’s consider everything we know. First, the horse rides through the Earth, this is something that rides forth throughout the Earth, and it comes forth when the Lamb opens this seal. The rider has a bow but no arrow. The rider had a crown and he came forth conquering and also to conquer. Some think this represents the antichrist, false prophets, and the false gospel. That doesn’t make sense, the antichrist is not going to conquer, he is going to be defeated. Jesus has a crown, He is Lord. He came forth from the grave conquering sin and death. He has already shot His arrow. The gospel is going to be preached to the uttermost parts of the Earth. Everyone who participates in this ministry is led about in the victory train of Jesus. Finally, Jesus has conquered and He is going forth to conquer. By the end of this age every knee will bow and every voice will confess that Jesus is Lord. Prior to Jesus resurrection and ascension this gospel was sealed up. Paul said that the prophets had longed to see what we see. Throughout the gospels you see that the apostles and the religious leaders did not have the vision, it was sealed up to them, yet the Lord fulfilled all the prophecies. The Black Lives Matter movement is evidence that we still have battles to win. The Stop the Steal rallies are the Lord riding forth to conquer again, only this time leading His army. We see these same rallies in Hong Kong and in Russia. Climate change, Amnesty international, social justice, there are many examples of battles that still need to be fought and won. The strategy for victory is revealed when this seal was opened. If you want to go forth and conquer you need to be one with the Lamb.

3 And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come. 4 And another horse came forth, a red horse: and to him that sat thereon it was given to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

The red horse is considered to signify war. That seems perfectly reasonable, he takes peace from the earth, they should slay one another, and he has a great sword. But, what about war was sealed up? At the time of Jesus' ascension many of these rulers were considered to be ruling by divine right. That came into question after people began to confess that Jesus is Lord. The persecution of Christians in the Roman empire was very much related to the fact that they did not recognize the emperors as having divine rule. Over the last two thousand years through the gospel people have come to question the rulers. That was unthinkable at the time of Jesus. The reason they call the US the “American Experiment” is because for the first time a country was going to allow the common man have a say in how they are governed. We have learned that these wars are fought over pretense and fabricated reasons. We made up reasons to fight the Spanish American war, as well as the Vietnam war. Hitler took power through a number of acts he perpetrated but blamed on communists, using that as an excuse to start WWII. JFK stood against ramping up the US involvement in Vietnam and he was assassinated, an inside job. 9/11 was an inside job allowing the US to totally revamp our military for the 21st century. Our invasion of Iraq the first time involved Bush signalling to Saddam that he could invade Kuwait, only to use Saddam’s invasion as an excuse for Bush to invade Iraq. These wars like Vietnam and Iraq are where we demonstrate our military hardware which we then sell. The military industrial complex is one of our most successful exports. The second Iraq war was also fought on the false pretenses that they had something to do with 9/11 and that we were looking for weapons of mass destruction. What these evil rulers had tried to hide, to seal up, was the deceitful reasons they actually went to war. We have been testing drones, and robots and many other new advances. Iraq has the largest reserves of oil on the planet to help defray the cost of the war. People used to think it was heroic to go and fight to defend your country, we have since learned that this is a lie. Accurate portrayals of war like “Saving Private Ryan” and “Hacksaw Ridge” have turned the whole concept of heroism on its head. Muhammad Ali’s statement that “I ain’t got no quarrel with them Vietcong” and “no Vietcong ever called me nigger” exposed the lie that we are fighting to defend our people. Once you see the gospel that Jesus is Lord and that we are all under the headship of God, it opens the door to hold your leaders accountable. Like Jesus said “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”. When Jesus opened this seal He was telling us you shall know the truth. Very often the political leaders will start a war as a distraction. The White horse rides forth conquering and to conquer, the truth is coming out and this prompts the red horse as a last ditch effort by these rulers to hold power.

5 And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come. And I saw, and behold, a black horse; and he that sat thereon had a balance in his hand. 6 And I heard as it were a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A measure of wheat for a shilling, and three measures of barley for a shilling; and the oil and the wine hurt thou not.

This black horse signifies famine. During a famine food becomes precious. Grain, oil and wine are the things of great value. If you look at the famines, the Great Famine in Ireland for example, it is a result of a blight that struck the potatoes. It was particularly devastating because of the monoculture of everyone growing the same crop. It was also devastating to the poor who were being exploited. Famines expose internal issues in a country. A lack of social justice, a lack of education, a lack of government oversight. We have made a number of adjustments. Today, if we discover a blight, or infestation in one farm the government can educate all other farmers before this spreads. We have government programs that encourage farmers to let some land lay fallow and to plant different crops. To me this is like doing finish work on a table. The first pass is a rough sandpaper to get all the major issues smooth, that is the unsealing of the horrendous crimes like JFK’s assassination and 9/11. After this you use a finer sandpaper. This is famine, often the errors that lead to famine are not as heinous as those that lead to war. In many cases like the Dustbowl it is a sin of ignorance.

7 And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come. 8 And I saw, and behold, a pale horse: and he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and Hades followed with him. And there was given unto them authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

This pale horse is considered to be similar to a pandemic. Generally following a war you will have a famine because no one has been able to work the fields and because any food that was there was given to the army. After this we get plagues like dysentery. People crammed into refugee camps with unsanitary conditions. We have had several pandemics prior to Covid19. Some were a result of unsanitary conditions with rats running everywhere and sewage in the streets. Cities learned to build sewers and install running water. Garbage collection and sewers are considered standard today, that was not the case a few hundred years ago. Wars are a result of sins that people try to hide. Famines are often a result of sins that people commit without being fully aware that they are sinning. A plague is a result of uncleanness. The Lord is going to build His kingdom on Earth and it is essential that these truths be unsealed. This is why I see this book as a blueprint for the kingdom. Forgive us for the things we have done that we shouldn’t have done (Vietnam war is a good example). And forgive us for the things we should have done but didn’t do (Covid19 is a good example). Why is it that some countries did not get hit with Covid19, while other countries like the US did? It turns out that if you were exposed to SARS in 2004 then you probably have at least partial immunity to Covid19. Taiwan, China and Vietnam were hit hard with SARS, but have seemingly not been hit hard at all by Covid19. We were well aware of how dangerous SARS was in 2004, why didn’t we make a vaccine for it? If we had a vaccine for SARS we could have had a vaccine up and running before colleges and schools reopened in the Fall of 2020. We could have nipped the pandemic in the bud. This is something we should have done but didn’t. Now we are paying the price for not having done this.

9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And there was given them to each one a white robe; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little time, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, who should be killed even as they were, should have fulfilled their course.

This seal is very similar to the Black Lives Movement cry for justice, “how long, O Master, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them”. It is also similar to the cries from the Stop the Steal rallies. And it is similar to the cries from this GameStop scandal. However, it is short sighted to think these crimes are due to the color of your skin or are unique to the US. In Lebanon the people are rebelling against their government, feeling betrayed by them. They too are asking that God judge and avenge their blood on the leaders. The Arab Spring was another example of people feeling betrayed by their government. The French revolution, the Russian revolution, the communist revolution, Nelson Mandela taking power in South Africa, there are many examples of people crying with a great voice “How long, O Master, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them”. Navalny in Russia is an example of people in Russia crying out. Protests in Hong Kong are an example of people in China crying out. This current Black Lives Movement is instructive. Prior to the internet, Youtube, and everyone having a camera in their phone no one was able to see what was happening. The official account would be a black man wanted for counterfeiting died while being apprehended. Nothing to be alarmed about. However, the video on Youtube of George Floyd’s death presents a very different perspective of what happened. This is the fulfillment of the Lord’s word “2 But there is nothing covered up, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 3 Wherefore whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. 4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.” (Luke 12:2-4) This is the point of opening the seals. Nothing covered up that shall not be revealed. Why did we have to wait a little while longer? We needed the internet, Youtube and smart phones. The leaders were warned, they acted with impunity, and now they will pay the price for their sins.

12 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; 13 and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree casteth her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind. 14 And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand?

Even today, with so much that has been unsealed, revealed, people still do not believe that Jesus is coming. However, after the sixth seal is opened they will all know the great day of wrath is come. There is a lot in this seal, and since it has not yet been opened it is a little speculative to interpret it. The summary of what I believe is that this seal being opened is the beginning of the Great Tribulation, the 70th week in Daniel. We know from other verses that the Antichrist breaks the covenant with Israel at this time and sets himself up in the Temple. We also know that the Lord promised some believers (the church in Philadelphia for example) that He would keep them from this day of wrath. Based on a number of different verses I believe that the rapture to the heavens takes place at this time. This rapture is referred to as the “man child”, when they are caught up to heaven there is no longer room for Satan or the angels that followed him and they are cast to the earth. But the debate about these points is endless, not something I wish to be dragged into. So suffice it to say this will be an Earthquake of Biblical proportions. The signs in the heavens will be amazing. Some suggest we will have a coronal ejection from the Sun that will knock out many satellites from the sky and burn up the ozone layer. That could explain the stars falling from the sky and it could also explain people hiding under rocks from the Sun which will burn them and give them skin cancer. There are other verses that indicate this will have a big impact on climate change (great heat) which would happen if the ozone layer were burned up. Without the ozone layer we would have more of the Sun’s energy striking the earth becoming heat. Climate change would accelerate. Also, the UV radiation would cause skin cancer and blindness. We might be able to hide from the sun during the day, but plants, fish, and animals would not be able to. It would result in a very great die off worldwide. Along with that you would get famine, plague and wars. If plants are killed from the UV radiation and die you would no longer have plants absorbing carbon dioxide but rather releasing it to the atmosphere, again accelerating climate change. The sun becoming black like sackcloth of hair is a description that seems to be the result of a volcanic explosion (our best explanation of what happened during the plagues that struck Egypt). Since this appears to be worldwide and the use of “great earthquake” here suggests all the previous earthquakes were less than this not even meriting a mention, this to me suggests a supervolcano exploded. There are twenty of them on Earth. One is at Yosemite, and the estimate is that if that volcano exploded about two thirds of the United States would be obliterated. There is another in Indonesia, one in New Zealand, etc. I doubt the one in the US will explode because it seems the devastation to the US would merit a mention. A supervolcano can have a blast thousands of times larger than typical volcanic eruptions. No doubt such a blast would also be associated with a great earthquake. In addition to this when the man child is raptured it says that the great dragon is cast to the earth and knows its time is short. This dragon spews a flood from its mouth to destroy God’s people. There has been a lot of concern that the 3 Gorges dam was built with shoddy materials as the officials in charge skimmed off the top of that project. A number of cracks have appeared this year and if there were a large earthquake it could cause the dam to collapse impacting about 400 million people. This would be an earthquake that would shake the whole world and would also tell the Chinese leadership that their time is short.

The first seal rider on the white horse, is representing the antichrist, which is a counterfeit of the rider on the white horse in Revelation 19:11

The first seal rider on the white horse is given a crown, while the rider on the white horse who is the Lord has many crowns. Below is a comparison of the two riders on the white horses:

Who is worthy to open these seals? Only Jesus. Your interpretation has AntiChrist playing a major role in opening up mysteries sealed up from the ages and generations. I quoted Ephesians saying that the fulfillment of opening these seals and these mysteries took place after Jesus resurrection and ascension through His heavenly ministry. You are exalting the antichrist with your interpretation.

I do agree that from the first rapture there will be a counterfeit of what the Lord has done for 2,000 years by the antichrist, but that is the phony dollar bill. He is not revealing mysteries hidden from the ages, he is lying.
