How do you know those that voted for her haven't assimilated democratic values. Or is it because they voted for Rep. Ilhan Omar?
Because they voted for her and their district has recently pushed to abolish the police. Which would benefit them because Sharia law is enforced by the mob rule of an honor-shame society.

They voted for her which either says ignorance (lack of assimilation) or on purpose knowing her beliefs and again (lack of assimilation).

If you do not know her beliefs then research her interviews, her comments on issues, and where she stands on issues.

Maybe we should ask why America does business with countries like Saudi Arabia who finance terrorists
It's almost as if money is more important than people's lives or something

Or China and Iran. It also could be political as this adds the ability to enact tariffs or to block trade all together. This can force countries to come to the negotiating table.

It will be interesting to see how Biden reacts when terrorists breach the White House and take him hostage. When someone encourages lawlessness he is setting a trap for himself. Antifa is already saying "We are not for Biden, we want revenge".
I find it interesting to see you mention the White House specifically.

Just a few blocks away, terrorists breached the capitol building when Trump was in office. They didn't come from Iran. They didn't come from Mexico. They came from the US. Right-wing US to be specific.

A few years ago, a terrorist went into a church, where Christians were praying, and opened fire, shot and killed 9 innocent people. This wasn't in the middle east. It wasn't in Central America. It was in Charleston, South Carolina.

The most deadly crime against US Citizens isn't coming from outside of our borders. It's coming from within. Closing up the borders is not going to help. In fact, it's just making it worse.

Yes, improper imigration is a real problem. But right now, we have bigger problems with elitists buying out our companies, our farmland, our newsmedia, our banks, & especially our politicians. Many of us didn't see it coming that several Republicans were bought out to steal the election & impeach the president. You see, it's not a Democrat thing, it's an elitist thing.
Only the elitists have the ability to set the conomic, industrial, military, religious, & political stage for the Antichrist

Acts of terrorism can be influenced by foreign involvement. Foreign ideologies as in maybe an Islamic immigrant moves in and keeps his beliefs about infidels. He may not act on them but he very well could spread that thinking to others in the country.

Or the children of foreign immigrants can turn radical if assimilation never occurs.

Study the case of the Boston Marathon bombing. Two US citizens had parents who immigrated but assimilation had failed. The two became radicalized as they started to reach out to foreign terrorist groups.

It is way more in-depth than just saying they immediately come in from over the border.

Closing up the borders is not going to help. In fact, it's just making it worse.
No one has closed the borders. We simply advocate for legal immigration and people to flow through the designated checkpoints.

This is false. Trump closed borders and stopped even legal immigration from several countries.

We simply advocate for legal immigration and people to flow through the designated checkpoints.
Ah, so you're a Democrat then. Gotcha.

I'm not sure who you mean as "we," whether you're referring to yourself and your family, or you and other like-minded people. Or if you are just saying, "We Democrats simply advocate...." which would be factually correct. But based on other posts in this thread, most people do not agree with you.

As I have said many times, I am not a Democrat. Personally, I think the Democratic stance on this issue (advocating for legal immigration and people to flow through the designated checkpoints) is not enough. I think we need some real immigration reform. But the Democratic stance is certainly better than what Trump was doing, if only by a small margin.

(1) Why do we want to limit the number of people who come in? I absolutely want to limit the type of person who comes in, but if 10,000,000 doctors and nurses were wanting to immigrate to the USA, wouldn't that be a good thing? The current system limits based on the number of people, not based on skill set. Which is just ludicrous. I was trying to hire a music teacher once, but was unable to because of the immigration laws. We couldn't find anyone to fill the position, but because the person we wanted was from Russia, he wasn't allowed. I told the immigration law to send me any American who would do what he could do. Just one. They said "Sorry, his immigration visa is denied." That's just stupid.

(2) A vast majority -- estimates range between 70%-90% -- of the people who are currently in this country illegally came in through designated checkpoints. They came on a temporary visa and have simply overstayed their visa. If your goal is to reduce the number of undocumented persons, forcing these "designated checkpoints" is not going to work. The only way to reduce the number of undocumented persons in this country is to process their requests. These people need to be vetted, rather than just floating around hoping not to be caught. They need to be processed and either accepted or denied. The Trump answer of just ignoring the problem and hoping it would go away if he just built a wall .... that was stupid, expensive, and useless.

(3) For four years now, we are facing a literal humanitarian nightmare on the borders where refugees are trying to present themselves at valid checkpoints but been denied entry. The "children in cages" scandal is still happening; just because the news isn't reporting on it any more doesn't mean it got better. Tens of thousands of families are still not united. These people HAVE presented themselves at valid checkpoints, and are still denied justice. This is not what America is supposed to be about.

Thirteen countries out of how many in the world? Hardly considered a closed border. Thirteen countries due to their security risks and high terrorist involvement.

I think we need some real immigration reform. But the Democratic stance is certainly better than what Trump was doing, if only by a small margin.
Yes, we still need immigration reform, I agree. But please explain how the Democrat stance is better?

Why do we want to limit the number of people who come in? I absolutely want to limit the type of person who comes in, but if 10,000,000 doctors and nurses were wanting to immigrate to the USA, wouldn't that be a good thing?
Assimilation. For example, if you cannot successfully assimilate 5 people, then why add 10? If you have to create areas where these immigrants settle like the whole town then you are bringing in more than you can handle.

10,000,000 doctors are good but will they be assimilated as Americans?

The current system limits based on the number of people, not based on skill set.
Skillset should be part of it. This is typically what Conservatives advocate for also. Skills are important but like I keep saying. It does America no good if they come from a communist country and keep those beliefs.

They came on a temporary visa and have simply overstayed their visa.
Law is still the law. No excuse.

If your goal is to reduce the number of undocumented persons, forcing these "designated checkpoints" is not going to work.
The Trump answer of just ignoring the problem and hoping it would go away if he just built a wall .... that was stupid, expensive, and useless.
But it did work. Illegal immigration decreased greatly.

FACT CHECK: ARE BORDER APPREHENSIONS DOWN 70% SINCE MAY, AS TRUMP SAYS?

2:54 PM 11/25/2019

Verdict: True
In October, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported 35,444 apprehensions at the southern border, down roughly 73% from 132,856 apprehensions in May.
Fact Check:
Border Patrol agents at the southern border with Mexico apprehend approximately 1,300 migrants attempting to enter the U.S illegally per day. In fiscal 2019, Border Patrol made more than 851,000 border arrests – the highest number of arrests since fiscal 2007.
CBP reported only 35,444 apprehensions in October, the month with the most recent data. That figure is down more than 73% from May, when CBP reported 132,856 apprehensions.

https://checkyourfact.com/2019/11/25/fact-check-donald-trump-border-mexico-illegal-immigration/

As for Trump if you think the border wall was the only thing that administration did, then you are just misinformed. Expensive? Compared to what? The cost of dealing with illegal immigrants? Or how about a Green New Deal? I could also agree. Proper vetting should always be promoted.

The "children in cages" scandal is still happening;
They are not dog cages but big holding facilities for all people, not just children.

Tens of thousands of families are still not united.
Without checking the accuracy of your number. Many parents could not be found. There are many reasons for this. But this had been happening for the last decade or more.

Trump signed a XO to stop it.

We know for a fact it was instigated by antifa democrat communists.
I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to as "it" here.

You're also confused about several things, but let's start with this:

Many of the riots over the summer, while they began as peaceful protests, turned violent in part because of Antifa and other extreme-left groups. So if that's what you're talking about, you're correct. But I didn't mention those protests in the post which you quoted, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

I mentioned 2 specific events, and neither of them were instigated by Antifa. One was instigated by the former president of the United States, Trump, who is not Antifa, not Democrat (any more -- he used to be, but switched parties before he got political, see below), and certainly not communist. The other was committed by one person, and he was definitely a right-wing extremist.

Right wings ...as you call us Do NOT get crazy like your lefty loons that burned down half the west coast.
There are extremists on both sides. On the extreme right, you have people like the ones I mentioned. On the extreme left, you have Antifa and communists. There are reasonable people on both sides, and there are extremists on both sides. The extremists are where the problems are. The reasonable people on both sides, when they behave, are, well, reasonable.

For once get real.
I am the only one who is speaking facts here. If you are saying anything other than what I have, you are the one who is separated from reality.

Your insistence that the usa become like Cuba and venezuela is insane.
I have never suggested such a thing. Your accusation is insane. I kindly request an apology before everyone here.

Your lefty democrats are carrying out an aoc communist agenda.
They are not "my" Democrats. I have said more times than I can count that I am NOT a member of the Democratic Party.

If you are a member of the Republican Party, you are much closer to the Democratic Party than I am. They are much more "yours" than "mine," so I'll thank you kindly either to take responsibility for their actions yourself, or at the least stop accusing me of being in charge of them for some asinine reason.

Also, the Democrats are not Communists. The Democrats are closer to communism than the Republicans are, but Democrats are squarely in the "capitalist" view, since they are pro-business. Saying the Democrats are Communist is like saying a dog is human, because they're more like humans than they are like ants. It's idiotic. Anyone with an IQ over 12 has no business pretending otherwise.

There is a Communist Party in the US. I don't know how many members it has, but they have almost zero power, because pretty much everyone -- including the left -- realizes communism doesn't work.

Now, socialism is a different monster. The Green Party is basically socialist, and they almost always put up a Presidential candidate, though it's rare that he or she gets even 1% of the vote. In some large cities they form coalitions with the Democrats, and that's how you get people like Ocasio-Cortez or Sanders in congress. (Though you should know that Sanders is not a Democrat -- he's even too liberal for the Democrats, which is further evidence that the Dems are still decidedly to the right of socialism.)

You want us ruined with millions of illegals,no boarders, healthcare overrun by taking care of illegals,no right to defend ourselves ,and destruction of free speech.
Nope.

"Millions of illegals" would be something both Democrats and Republicans support. They don't want to see immigration reform, because big businesses benefit from the cheap labor illegal immigrants provide.

"No boarders" -- If any party would be okay with the US taking on free boarders, it would be communists. But like I said, the communists are a joke. But I can't think of any party that would want boarders unless they paid their fair share.

"healthcare overrun by taking care of illegals" -- Again, that's something both Democrats and Republicans support, because that's what we have right now. They don't want to pay for the health care of undocumented citizens, so instead, undocumented citizens end up using emergency services, which are 1,000s of times as expensive as preventative medicine would be. But both Democrats and Republicans would rather pay $10,000 for an illegal in a hospital than $100 for outpatient care. Because both Democrats and Republicans are idiots. But it's way worse among Republicans.

Your party is TOTALLY INSANE
I bet you don't even know what party I'm in. I will send $50 to a charity of your choice if you can name the party of which I'm a member. I'll even give you a hint: it's neither Democrat nor Republican. And no, it's not "Communist" either.

And it's been 30 years since I had an insane party. I'm too old to party like that any more.

BTW, Trump was a Democrat until 2009. Apparently he felt he could fool the Republicans more easily than the Democrats. And apparently he was right.

I never said the Democrat stance was "better."

First of all, better than what? It's virtually identical to the Republican plan, so it's neither better nor worse than that.

Better than it could be? Heck no! It's significantly worse than what it could be and what it should be.

Second, the next person who claims I am a Democrat will be instantly awarded 100 IDIOT POINTS. I'm going to start keeping track and listing it in my signature.

Can you not read? Are you so brainwashed that you can't possibly process the information that someone might disagree with you and not actually be a Democrat?!?!?!?

I feel like a gosh darn broken record here. I say it like 10-20 times a day on these boards, and yet you guys ignore it and repeat your error over and over again. No wonder Trump won the first time. You people are so stupid you would vote for a slug if your party told you to.

Oh wait. You did.

Assimilation. For example, if you cannot successfully assimilate 5 people, then why add 10? If you have to create areas where these immigrants settle like the whole town then you are bringing in more than you can handle.

Yet many would concede that legal immigration is far more desirable than an uncontrolled invasion of aliens with perhaps bad intentions.

Politics is a swamp filled with sewage. Every person will be called to account to God for what they have done. Satan will doubtless use seemingly good humanitarian causes to bring evil to pass.

Number 1 where did I call you a Democrat?

Donald Trump offered a Merit based immigration system:
The new White House proposal does not change the net level of green cards allocated each year, but rather prioritizes high-skilled workers over those with family members who are U.S. citizens. It would allow applicants to rack up eligibility based on factors such as age, ability to speak English, job offers and educational background under what Trump called a new “Build America” visa.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...e50606-77e3-11e9-b3f5-5673edf2d127_story.html

Definitely not identical to the Democratic plan of making millions of illegal immigrants, legal citizens.

Why not? Do you have any evidence to say they wouldn't? Since it's never been tried, the answer to that question is no.
Muslim controlled towns

China town.
Hispanic majority towns near the border.
Or Cuban majority like in Miami.

Then these same areas tend to vote for Anti American policies or push anti American ideals.

Just look at Ilhan Abdullahi Omar in the Minnesota's 5th congressional district.

That is true. And it has nothing to do with what I said and doesn't answer my question.

Politics is a swamp filled with sewage.
No, politics is the activity of governing.

A family with the father at the head is an example of politics.

A church with Jesus at the head is an example of politics.

We could make a case about how corrupt various governments are, but "politics" are not, in and of themselves, "a swamp. "

Why haven't you called out people on your own side of the argument who are behaving like children? You're quick to threated "ignore and report" when you disagree with someone, but when someone on your side behaves way worse than anything I have said or done you pretend like it hasn't even happened. You know what they call people who do that?

Politicians are creatures of the swamp of human depravity. We do not need politicians.

We need statesmen. Men and women who will do what is right regardless of popular opinion and without regard to campaign contributions.

Jesus leads the church by sovereign will not by politics.
