I don't think salvation is something one can lose. The word save saved or salvation all mean to be resured to be protected it is a gift but when you give a gift can you take it back? No because then it isn't a gift it's a loan
Salvation is kept by one thing something unbendible unbreakable and eternal the blood of Christ. Now it is ture there is a difference between a Christian by heart and a Christian by title but the Christian by title is not saved they follow the legalism the religion a saved person adores and is adored they have an intimate and very treasured bond with him.

When you are sealed with his holy spirit you and God have made a covenant of the hearts you are in essence no longer two seperate beings but two hearts as one just like marriage

Stay here a bit longer and you will discover how wrong your statement is. No, seriously. Just say around awhile. You would THINK what you say WOULD be true, but, based on many, many comments/teachings here.....it is not.

There are those here who believe that they ONLY have to repent and ask for forgiveness ONCE. After that....ALL SINS THEY COMMIT for the rest of their lives, and any disobedience they commit is also not counted/held against them. They believe they NEVER AGAIN ask God to forgive them of any sins they commit. Others believe nothing they do matters, or has any effect upon their receiving eternal life because they were "chosen from the beginning." Nothing they can do about it. They will receive eternal life regardless of how they live.

Reading one paragraph and then denouncing the Post is like reading one Paragraph of Scripture and denouncing all of Scripture. Or, reading one paragraph of a History Book and denouncing all of History. Limited education/knowledge is not a good way to achieve understanding.

I do not care if you disagree with me. That is your right. BUT if you believe a person can spend their lives living in disobedience to Jesus/God and still receive eternal life............then I surely disagree with you.
Here we have it folks

we have continue to work hard or our salvation will not be secure

this is not me mocking the need to be obedient, it is in trying to point out that this persons thinks he can save himself which in fact, makes his gospel a false gospel. And not from God

now because instate this, his first accusation in the op will be directed at me,

I am not excusing or condoning sin.

I am looking at reality, on my best day, I am worthy of death, no amount of repenting will make one iota of a difference, apart from Grace, I am dead where I stand.

everyone in this room has the same issue,as James said if we keep every word and even STUMBLE in one point we are guilty as charged, the penalty is death, no one here can claim they can go a week without stumbling at least one, in fact, I would say no one can say they can go a day with out stumbling in one point,

remember you stumble not willingly, but because you either were not paying attention or you tripped on something by accident

Thank you. You could have just saved us 39 minutes of our time by just typing 'OSAS'. Most of us have Bibles and most of us can be Berean and read it and be guided unto truth with the aid of the Holy Spirit which dwelleth within.
You're welcome. "Why do you call me Lord, Lord, yet don't do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)

Oh, so once you have faith it's okay to not obey Jesus?
Who said this? You trying to put words in my mouth? How dare you!

and who truly obeys? Are you sinless?

I dont really know of anyone who thinks they can go and do whatever they want after salvation.

The truth though is that obedience isn't linked to initial receiving eternal life from Jesus.

Salvation is all about Him and what He does for us. It isn't about the person receiving earning it or jumping through any hoops to get it.

It's his gift.. not our effort.

So.. because of this great, unearned, unmerited gift given, what would be the response back?

A christian understands this grace. That's why they obey.

Not because they have to, but out of love for Jesus in His grace given.

Obedience in loving God to have rewards in heaven, not to get to heaven in the first place.
Our reaction to the gift we receive of salvation should not be ignored.

If that was so then a person who murders could say to the Lord, "gift me with salvation". Then go on to murder again.

Obedience to Jesus, and His teachings while here on earth IS NOT "trying to follow the Law of the First Testament." That's the mistake so many here make when they set upon those of us who understand obedience is an act of love for Jesus/God BECAUSE of our salvation by grace through faith. The New Covenant Law is the Law of FAITH! As described by the Apostle Paul. It is not the Law of Moses from the Old Testament.

If people could understand this, they would be a whole lot closer to God and Scripture Truths. Salvation is the FIRST step, not the last. Sanctification is needed for a believer to have that "personal relationship" with God that He desires to have with us. Sanctification comes through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

This is why blaspheme of the Holy Spirit is the unpardonable sin. It will NOT be forgiven in this world, or the next Scripture says. BECAUSE the Holy Spirit is the VERY ESSENCE OF GOD! Blaspheme of the Holy Spirit is blaspheme of the very essence of God!

I make NO effort to follow the Laws of Moses and the Jewish Religion. Those Laws were fulfilled by Jesus!

During His Ministry, Jesus gave us many things/commandments, and these are those I strive daily to obey!
Obedience comes naturally as our relationship with him becomes deeper if Jesus is in our heart the law is also written on our heart but love fulfills the whole law this is common knowledge but as simple as this is as I am sure you have seen there are some who love to use grace as an excuse to do as they please and thus if you tell them about obedience they get into attack mode however you also have those who are so into obedience that it becomes their religion

Then there are debates on how to understand grace which I rest in yes I try to be obedient but if I fall I know I am in his love and grace this however seems to be complicated to people who have seen to many full gracers and you cannot explain to them what your saying on the other hand if you are to invested in being without sin as I know several people who believe we can be sinless you are then blind to your own sins and folly

I mean it isn't a hard concept Jesus madfe it pretty simple

"Why do you call me Lord, Lord, yet don't do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)
I do Luke 10:27
He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
