Unlike feelings and opinions, word definitions don't change. By having a constant unchanging point of reference we are able to create order out of chaos. That being said, words have meaning. The term abortion sounds like someone jettisoned dead weight to save the mother ship. It's dehumanizing and the term is disarming, unable to accurately describe what is being aborted or how.
The term murder is much more accurate because only living things can be murdered, but cargo can be aborted.
