You seem to think you’re saved because you believe in osas and works...at least that’s what I’m getting out of your responses.

I’ve given you many verses that tell you that you aren’t secure...that should have you wondering about osas, honestly.

I don’t need the assurance of osas to look to others. I have the assurance that God is my God and He sent His Son to save me...its in gratitude that I want to do the works He’s prepared for me...not because I have some sort of guarantee.

Its not a trick question.
To be saved one must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. That is..that He is God, that he came to take the punishment for our sins upon Himself, He died on the cross and rose again 3 days later. To believe that you are the sinner that God says you are and that you need to believe on what Jesus has done to be saved from the punishment of sin..the lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. One must not stray even a little from that....or are you still saved?
If say you don’t believe Jesus is God anymore but a moral person...are you still saved? If after the years go by you decided that you like what the catholics or the hindus...etc... are doing better are you still saved...or have you fallen from the faith you once had?

That’s what I’m talking about.

Because isn’t that what is implied by falling away from the faith? You believed something to be saved..but now you don’t believe it anymore..or don’t believe some of it anymore...are you still saved?

People like to say that o those people weren’t really saved..but the Bible doesn’t lump them all in that category...the Bible comes out and says that some will fall away from the faith. If you don’t think that implies that someone had faith in the first place..then maybe should pray about it.
No I'm saved based on what the bible says . it has nothing to do with works . We ' work ' for the furtherance of the gospel because we are saved ,not in order to stay saved .

Yes...there are...I’ve already quoted you some. It’s maturity to accept that people will fall away from the faith and lose their salvation and not keep on the myth that it can’t happen when the Bible states it can. Hebrews 6:6 proves you wrong...as does many other verses.

Hebrews‬ ‭6:1, 4-6‬ ‭
Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.

Hebrews is written to hebrews about the hebrews .

It sounded like you were saying you were saved by works..which is why I asked how you were saved..and also to prove that you had to do something for salvation...which is believe. If your beliefs are different..are you still saved and should you expect to be, is my point.

What do you do with ' SEALED by the HOLY SPIRIT ( not wax ) UNTO ( duration) the day of redemption ? You answer correctly on how we are saved but its as it nothing happens when we are saved . You haven't even mentioned it ?? So many things happen to a believer when He is saved . its not just a verbal agreement. We are changed positionally , legally , spiritually, directionally, locality, ect . Its like you don't understand this aspect of salvation?

The faith / believing is a one time ' event ' Then you recieve the Holy Spirt and are regenerated. Otherwise if it was a duration ( The faith that is the prerequisite to be saved by ) that would mean you would have to wait for the receiving of the Holy Spirit . But we don't wait for the Holy Spirit its immediately given ( regeneration) upon the moment we believe the Gospel. People change this to " go on believing ' which i do believe we do . its not a ' practice ' or a ' meditation ' . We don't concentrate really really hard keeping the Holy Spirit . Salvation comes immediately at the point of believing to receiving.

What does that even mean?
Meaning when the tribulation hits this will be relevant again to HEBREWS And since when are gentiles considering going back to the old sacrificial system and pondering if Angels and Moses are better than Jesus?

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Praise God the Father who has given us the gift of faith in Jesus Christ and given us his Spirit to worship him and grow in him and build us up in his love!

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

2 Corinthians 9:15
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

God grants the repentance that is deep enough and sincere enough for that person to turn to Him for forgiveness and strength in overcoming his sin. God will, in His sovereign power, provide a means for him to receive and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ and be baptized in His name and will also receive the gift of the Holy Spirit of God to strengthen and guide him in overcoming his sins.

Acts 11: 18 When they heard these things, they held their peace and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repentance is a state of being. When God grants it, you have it. It is not something that you can accept or refuse because you already have it. A saved person can never boast that he got saved on his own merit or because he made a wise decision. Salvation is a gift from God. He does it all.

Ephesians 2: 8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God - Not of works, lest any man should boast.

1 Cor 1: 29-31 That no flesh should glory in His presence. But of (by) Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of (by) God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth , let him glory in the Lord.

Just as there are different degrees of love ( agape love being the highest), there are different degrees of repentance ( only the repentance granted by the Father is repentance unto salvation). Why would anyone want to take any credit for their salvation?

Romans 9: 15-16 For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So, then, it is not of (by) him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of (by) God that showeth mercy.

There is no such thing in the bible as repentence or 'faith 'given as an exclusive gift .

When the tribulation hits...we will still be here as and handed over to governors and kings as a testimony to them...the book of Hebrews was written to us. Why would God write something to unbelievers in the Bible? That doesn’t make any sense. He didn’t leave it there for them to find later but for us all to have and study now.

So I know what your meaning is...when you say Hebrews you mean Jews?

Yes Jews . Most of the bible is about Israel . in the west we tend to have a lot of ' me centred ' theology. Like every book in the bible is only for ' me ' in 2021

I didn’t say I concentrated really hard to keep the Holy Spirit...but you do have to continue following God and keeping to what you were first taught, and growing in God..not staying baby Christians and maturing. God tells us there are false prophets and teachers for a reason...because you can call away from the faith.
John‬ ‭15:6‬ ‭
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.

The bible was not written just for the church age . Completed yes but God was speaking to People through his word then and will still be speaking after the Church is gone.

What me centered theology? The Bible was also written for Christians. The man of God being talked about are Christians not Jews.

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
