Okay this is a very turbulent week for me so perhaps this is my ocd and scruples talking but, if I were to give up all my hobbies (as I feel like I focus on them more than on God) does anyone have suggestions on what I can do? Do I spend all my time praying? 🤔 I had a job till recently (it was not for the money but something to occupy my time so I'm not sitting at home thinking all day) unfortunately due to irregular management I was forced to leave. It's hard for me to tell what I should and shouldn't do. I have almost zero discernment and I'm anxious about everyone of my hobbies (life in general actually) I cant help but feel I have an incredibly boring life ahead of me and I'm trying to prepare for alternative things to take my time. Unfortunately reading the bible is one of my least favorite things to do as it causes severe anxiety :( I know that is not a good thing and it should be my biggest source of spiritual help. But honestly it terrifies me.

I'd throw in another art or physical hobby of some kind. Something that keeps your body moving or your imagination rolling.

Reading, writing and video games. I also make and print a card game.

what do you read and write ?
Perhaps put a time limit on the games ?
Mostly horror or fantasy. Yeah I actually don't play to often anymore anyway, so it shouldn't be to hard.

What worked for me was cycling. I like to mountain bike. It's done wonders.

Clear mind. Firm legs.

Cool! Yeah I haven't used a bike in years. I would have to get one.

one thing though, don't get legalistic about it.
Do what you want, when you want to, but do so in moderation.
It's not as though you have to "work hard"

How about walking/hiking? It doesn't cost anything. It's good exercise. Don't listen to music or anything while you're out. It will help clear your mind.

Ah, good point. Music often helps me relax and keep my mind occupied. Idol hands are not my friend rn.
