Came to visit my Sister and BroinLaw for a couple of days. To celebrate a late Christmas....
BroinLaw and I went fishing this morning at Ditto Landing on the Tennessee River. It was cold and kinda windy, cloudy and such. At first, we were regretting our decision. For an hour, not a single bite. Then we decided to start exploring other spots to see if we could find some wee fishies........ After a couple of places, we found a spot on a backwater cut off the main river. AND, OH YEAH! We found the wee fishies! In about three hours (before the rain came) we caught 37 Bream, Shell Cracker, Stripers, and one Largemouth Bass...... It turned out to be a really good day. Even with the cold and showers and wind....
I was reminded of when Jesus told the disciples to cast their nets on the OTHER SIDE of the boat. Sometimes, ya just gotta not give up, but do a wee bit of exploring on the other side!
Thank you Jesus for a good day fishing.
