You gotta look up the Greek...and Hebrew. And remember that the "seal" has to do with the "Law", according to Isaiah 8:16 KJV.

We can't go making up some arbitrary definition of what the seal is...we gotta "compare Scripture with Scripture".
Nope ... The verse clearly says its by the Holy Spirit that is the Guarantee until the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit is not given until Acts 2 .

Insinuating that Jesus' fulfilling the law excuses the rest of us from our obligation to obey it shows that about you, friend.

Is the grace shown you by a cop who caught you speeding a license to tear off down the road as fast as you can...or are you STILL required to obey the speed limit?
No one is Justified by the deeds of the law . I think you missed the part where salvation is through faith and not the works of the law .

Who did Jesus tell to abide?
No one should have to tell you Jesus was addressing converted saints - even a cursory reading of John 6 reveals this. If so, you should probably be asking more questions than challenging others, friend.

Obeying our civil laws will not get you to heaven either . Jail maybe .

John 6 is before the cross. Its not until Mathew 27 . Notice when the new testament begins ? its not the book of Matthew ,its the death of christ . The Holy Spirit is not given until Acts 2 .

Sorry but even DAVID begged God not to "take Thy Holy Spirit from me." The "giving of the Holy Spirit" had to do with empowering the church with gifts for the advancement of the Gospel and this pouring out of the Holy Spirit HAD NOTHING TO DO with things pertaining to conviction of sin, trusting in the coming Lamb of God for salvation, etc., etc., which things existed since the beginning of time.

Dispensationalism is a false doctrine which I am happy to shred for you all day long if you like.

Good gravy, man, it's DISOBEYING them that gets you thrown in jail...and disobedience to God's Law with which "ye are sealed unto the day of redemption" is what gets you thrown in the Lake of Fire.

Jesus is addressing the diciples prior to the cross ,prior to the giving of the Holy Spirit and prior to repentance granted to Gentiles . Its not addressed to the Church. Its to those disciples. Your not one of those Jewish disciples.

David or anyone for that matter , in the old testament was not indwelt by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit would come upon and leave certain people . Saul is an example of this . David witnessed this happen regularly.

John 7 .

38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Notice the Holy Spirt is NOT GIVEN until Jesus is glorified .
Acts 2 hasn't happened yet ,where believers are indwelt permanently with the Holy Spirit UNTO the day of redemption.
This is an event that never happened in the OT .

So what? Those saved BEFORE the Cross looked forward to the Lamb Who was to die for their sins and demonstrated that faith by keeping the law...those AFTER the Cross look back to the Lamb Who died for their sins and demonstrate the same faith the same way.

Why lean on a weak doctrine like Dispensationalism in order to excuse doing the things which made necessary the death of Jesus on the Cross in the first place?

Nope , its not being Glorified what gets you into the lake of fire . Jesus did something on the cross which you missed. He died for the sins of the world .

2 cor 5 .19
19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, NOT !!!!!! imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Obeying the law is not how a person is saved . Receiving Jesus is how a person will be glorified.

You just gonna keep righ on glossing over the Bible, right? I already showed you that the giving of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost had to do with spiritual gifts, NOT God's spiritual work of saving men, by which since time immemorial He has used His Holy Spirit to reach men.

David had His spirit, Samuel had His spirit - all OT men who came under conviction and repented unto salvation did so by the SAME Holy Spirit you say was not an active agent in their lives...then by what spirit did God relate to the OT people, sir?

No, friend, SIN is what gets you thrown in, whether you're a former saint of a career sinner.

Who is claiming obedience earns salvation? As a leftist, I think you've switched on you "BOSE facts-cancelling, emotional-enhancing earphones".

So Jesus didn't die for the sins of the world then ? " Behold the lamb of God who does not take away the sin of the world " ?

He died to excuse your penalty for committing it, not to give you a license to continue in it. Again, does a cop's grace grant you a license to disregard the speed limit?

Only those who are slaves to sin desire such a license - and will search the Scriptures until they find something to authorize one. But, the Judge is not going to dismiss any case which rests on such theological skullduggery.

How are you not advocating works salvation ? what's the difference in what you preach to say the Catholics or Jehovah witnesses ?

Did Jesus die for the sins of the world or not ? I believe people go to hell by not receiving Jesus. If a person does not recieve the atonement he will not be glorified. Not being glorified is why people go to hell . Jesus paid for their sins . But Glorification is only made possible to those who by faith believe the Gospel ..Lets remind ourselves what that is again . What is it a person has to believe in order to recieve salvation ..1 cor 15 gives the Gospel specifically..let's read:
1¶Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3¶For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

, how that Christ died for our sins '
What's this ? " HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ' .
WHOS SINS ?
1 John 2:2

“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD !!!!

You do not believe your bible.
