The phone call with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Saturday was the latest step in an unprecedented effort by a sitting president to pressure a state official to reverse the outcome of a free and fair election that he lost. The president, who has refused to accept his loss to Democratic president-elect Biden, repeatedly argued that Raffensperger could change the certified result.

How about the Biden team demanding a check on some of Trumps wins to see whether they are all kosher?

1% Joe and 2% Kammy didn't win an historic vote over the first black president, let alone Trump. Didn't happen!! Shoot, he came in 3rd after Obama and Trump as the most admired man in the country and he's ( supposedly) the incoming president. rofl If you believe that I have some ocean front property I wanna sell ya. They weren't boarding up businesses because they thought Biden was going to win. The whole country thought Trump was going to win.

If there are votes to be found then any candidate would want them found. It's projection to say it's Trump attempting to manipulate the vote. I think this sort of misleading news is part and parcel of the mainstream media propaganda machine: it's like throwing red meat for Trump's political enemies at the expense of fair and balanced reporting. No one cares about the truth anymore, just give people what they want to hear and they'll be happy.

the most admired man in the country
In a poll of 1000 people who answered land-line telephones.
How representative of the whole country do you really think that poll is lol

The truth is that an awful lot of people voted for Mr Trump because they thought Clinton was evil, not because they particularly wanted Trump to be in power. Similarly a very large number of people came out to vote for Biden because they consider Trump to be evil.

Americans very rarely vote "for" anyone. Even the Trump support is largely based on perceiving him as a lesser evil rather than someone desirable for leadership.

Pretty solid, the Dems weren't able to fake the votes.

Don't know that the facts back that up. Any stats on that?

Some people are easily brainwashed by slight of hand. But I don't believe 1% Joe won an historic election. I don't think he does either. Let him talk, the longer you let ol' Joe ramble the more the truth comes out.

That's an opinion. A very biased one.

In all fairness, the DNC did yank the carpet out from under their own feet when they sabotaged Bernie's nomination for party leader, choosing instead to install a Clinton. They never did forgive Assange for being a journalist and never will. That sort of corruption is evil. My, the short term memory of the American people is legendary after 4 years of distraction. Now the DNC are the good guys again, defenders of freedom, and celebrated for their non-stop attacks on Trump. Smh.

Good ol' Bernie. He has his hand on the WH doorknob and they kneecap him every time. And the prizes he is given as runner up. Seems no. 2 is just good enough for the old commie.

The election has been investigated to death and there is no fraud with the votes cast. I voted for Trump but I also chose not to live in an alternative reality. The point is the majority of the American people voted for Biden. I almost did. The main reason I considered voting for Biden was to distance myself from the crazy fringe on the right. Times like this I wish I did. It’s laughable how far this has gone.

I think this was a dumb thing for Trump to do. I also think people believe what they want to believe and what most of us believe in is perception. And the perception was that Trump almost begged Raffensperger for votes he didn't get when listening to media accounts. When taking the conversation as a whole, the argument can be made that Trump pointed out the deficiencies in the Georgia voting, however people rarely listen or much less read an entire conversation or try to take everything in context. That's why I think it was dumb for Trump to have the conversation. He KNOWS that his enemies are going to use bits and pieces of anything he says and arrange it in such a way to make him look as bad as possible.

It was disappointingly dumb. Stupid to the extent that he may have even jeopardized the Georgia senate vote on its eve. Facts are usually complex and hard and demand proof. Perceptions are easy and americans like easy and Trump never seems to understand that.

Americans should be proud of themselves, Trump was the second man of colour to be voted in as President of the US.

Yeah, clearly it's the right that has gone "crazy".

People who think they are funny, rarely are. Hollywood is awash with fake tans, come on man. BTW worry about your own country maybe instead of taking pot shots at Americans. Canada is really beginning to look small. smh Sad.
