With the recent allegations against Ravi Zacharias coming about, I felt pressed to ask, what do we do when our spiritual leader fall?

Although the claims made against Ravi after his passing have not been proven to be true, there is evidence to support that they might be.

This is very disheartening to many as he was a very well established apologetic and ministry leader. His work reached thousands and he did speak the truth of God.

I think of my own sin and how I’m only a few inches from falling into the pit of transgressions at any given time. This only confirms the notion that we all have fallen short the glory of God and need a savior for past, current, and future sins.

Your thoughts?

Just simply that Christ is our only leader, the only one we follow. He is the only one who will never let us down. That being said, I'm loath to listen to peoples accusations after a person is dead and unable to defend themselves. The whole "Mommy Dearest" deal. If it wasn't important enough to say when the person was alive, why say it after they are dead, defenseless and leave their having to deal with it. Jesus only, He will never fail.

Allegations of wrong-doing on Ravi Zacharias' part preceded his recent death.

RZ did so much good in his world-wide apologetics ministry, and that is what I look at and see :)

Well educated, very well spoken, and inspirational, he reached many in his efforts to spread the Good News.

This is one of the reasons why I steer clear from following people, period. And, he's always felt off to me, not making it up, it's true. People usually switch their own discerning apparatus off, because people say things and you pay attention to things they say. Nobody is more special than anyone else, it's people who elevate people to some status. Anyone can be an apologetic, you don't have to be spiritual. They just need to think of arguments. I've always sided with Christians and argued atheists when I was an unbeliever in school because they can't handle disagreement, and it was fun to make them upset.

I agree. Why bring this up after the man has died. From what I have heard this couple sounded like they wanted a lot of money to keep things hush hush.

Well I just read the account where 3 women are supposed to have come forward, with one of them saying he always exposed himself and masturbated about 50 times in front of her. She was too 'embarrassed' to come forward with the allegations while he was alive.

Maybe he did and maybe he did not, but I have no faith in a woman that supposedly has to tolerate all of that but only speaks up now.

Seriously? And don't give me this 'she was shocked' nonsense, cause maybe the first time but not the other 49.

No one has to put up with that sort of thing. Suspicious allegations

And another thing. The move to make Christianity a dirty little secret will probably get worse, while Biden, an actual predator just has to smile and say it isn't true. Not to mention the Clintons and their activities which are well known but for which they have had to answer. Not on this earth anyway.

Why are we so shocked and appalled that a human may have sinned.
All we can do is take away two very important concepts. One humans are fallible, and the other we are human and also fallible.
So humans fail when we are too tired, hungry, alone, or stressed. I know this will get me. So what can we do? Make sure we eat properly, get plenty of rest, have a support team member preferably our spouse, but if spouse isn't available a couple of good men for the men and ladies for the ladies.
Preferably older stronger and wiser, ones that are well prepared to be your support team.
Paul gave instruction to the church about anyone who sought an office in the church, that he should have one wife. Our spouses are so important to us. They are the linchpin in keeping is from sexual sin.

They probably want money. If it was about justice they would have done something about it while he was living; they did nothing because probably nothing happened. People in this world don't care about the reputation of others or the legacy of others if it means they can get a large payout. Don't be surprised by this.

I havent read nor care to read about these allegations .

Im sure if we took the time we could discredit alot of the brothers and sisters that went before us.
Remembering that satan is the accuser of the saints it doesnt surprise me much.
Look at jonah for example. So disgruntled to deliver a warning of God thats how he is remembered. Not that he did in fact deliver that message and a nation was spared.

Let us remain in silence as God gets the glory as it should be. The will of God does and will prevail.

Was Ravi Zacharias YOUR spiritual leader just wondering.

He wrote some books which we have in church library but we have lots of books written by all sorts of people, though the Bible is the most important one.

I dont consider anyone in ministry the 'leader' we are all followers of Jesus Christ.

Well there is nothing good that can come from a discussion of this type of matter. Jerry Falwell was also disgraced by this type of scandal.

Leave it in God's hands for He knows the truth and will execute justice based on His truth. Mercy or judgment is the province of God.

I know nothing about this man and I am not going to Google it.

One thing I have known from early in my journey with God is that holiness is a requirement for the kind of Spirit empowered preaching and teaching that the church is hungry for.

With this I agree totally.
Who is without sin?
I pray for repentance and restoration of all who sin.

First of all are these allegations true or false? There have been so many bogus allegations about sexual misconduct that the truth will need to be established without the shadow of a doubt. If this is simply an attempt to extort money, then it is even more despicable.

In any event, Christians can only deal with issues within their own churches. That is very clear from Scriptures. The church at Ephesus (for example) would have no business interfering with the church at Corinth. So it is up to the church where Ravi was a member to address this matter (if there is any truth to it).

Anyhew, there but by the grace of God go we all, happily masturbating all the way home:whistle:o_O:rolleyes:

We must look to Jesus. It is He and His example that we must focus upon. Love others, but do not seek to emulate them. Not even Paul or Apollos. Those Corinthians may not have had a copy of the Gospels, but we do. I am so glad for Jesus' example of purity and holiness.
