"MIAMI – The University of Miami is investigating the possible effects of the coronavirus vaccine on male fertility.

Lead researchers Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy, a reproductive urologist with U Health, initiated an earlier study which found the virus was present in the testicles for up to six months following infection.

That spurred his team to question the virus’ effect on sperm and reproduction.

His team is now looking at the potential impact of the vaccine as well.

“We’re evaluating the sperm parameters and quality before the vaccine and after the vaccine. From the biology of the COVID vaccine we believe it shouldn’t affect fertility but we want to do the study to make sure that man who want to have kids in the future to assure them it’s safe to go ahead and get the vaccine,” Ramasamy said.

Study participants must have a fertility evaluation before receiving the vaccine.

To protect fertility, some men may want to consider freezing their sperm prior to vaccination."

Why didn't they test this BEFORE starting the vaccination process?
The fact that they're suggesting freezing sperm before vaccinating makes it pretty obvious that they don't trust that the vaccine can't affect fertility.

On the other side of the issue, they've found Covid lingers in the testes for awhile after infection, though they haven't been able to determine if Covid causes fertility issues.

"So far there is no definitive answer as a follow-up of reproductive function of recovered male patients is required."

At any rate, it looks like there should be some caution taken...and all those folks that sounded crazy in saying the vaccine causes sterility? Well, maybe it's not that farfetched after all...

For the thousandth time... CNN or any News article is not going to give but a few brief items of information. If you want to know more you always have to Google a bit and find the original reports, science documents, studies, published data.

I find that the CDC site is a good source to find these links.

In the case of adverse reactions they are all being collected. A news article might give links to where the data is stored but rarely. You will have to find where this data is being stored and made public.

Here is a good link to start learning about this phone app that the health workers are using to collect data.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/vsafe.html

You will notice that this is not CNN.

What you want to do is find out what is actually being done to collect, store and make public the data. When you learn this you are able to identify false and misleading information when you hear it.

The lies become apparent because you know how things really work. This is also called reality. Once you understand reality you can tell when people are making up lies that don't apply to reality.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — As the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine were administered in Utah, the KSL Investigators dove into claims on social media that COVID-19 vaccines contain or utilize fetal cell lines in their development.
In the case of the Pfizer vaccine that was recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration — those claims are false.
How An mRNA Vaccine Works
The primary ingredient in this vaccine is messenger RNA, or mRNA.
The mRNA is synthetically created in a lab and therefore does not rely on research cell lines for mass production of vaccines.
Dr. Meredith Wadman is the author of “The Vaccine Race” and a reporter with Science Magazine.
Wadman described mRNA as, “a little snippet of genetic code … and it’s tucked inside a teeny, tiny fat bubble called a lipid nanoparticle.”

Dr. Meredith Wadman, author of “The Vaccine Race” and a reporter with Science Magazine. (KSL-TV)
This fat bubble, she said, helps the body’s cells absorb the mRNA, which then produces a spike protein nearly identical to the one in the coronavirus.

“Our immune systems are alerted and trained, so that next time if we encounter the virus in real life, we’re going to have an immune army waiting to pounce on it,” she explained.

Vaccine Ingredients
In addition to mRNA, Pfizer lists multiple other ingredients in tiny amounts, including salts and sugar. The salts (monobasic potassium phosphate, potassium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium chloride) are natural products that help break down the protective barrier around the mRNA.
Ingredients for the Moderna vaccine, which could receive authorization from the FDA within days, can be found in the company’s briefing document to the FDA. It contains the same mRNA process as the Pfizer vaccine and does not utilize fetal cell lines.

Why Flu Cases are Down During a Massive Pandemic.

  • More adults have gotten the flu shot in pharmacies in 2020 compared to last year’s flu season.

  • But vaccination rates among certain groups — such as non-Hispanic Black adults and children — seem to have dropped off a bit.

  • Even though flu activity is low, and overall vaccination rates are strong, the flu is out there and could surge at any moment.

As of late November 2020, 188 million doses of the flu vaccine had been shipped out across the country, according to a new flu vaccination dashboardTrusted Source from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

or, flu is being counted as covid, to keep the numbers and fear up.

i care nothing for their overcooked numbers, certainly do not fear a disease with a 99% percent survival rate.

This is good information, good to know more people have been vaccinated.

As well the incubation period for influenza, a few days as compared to up to 14 for Covid-19.

I also think this info from the CDC helps explain why influenza is lower this year.

Like SARS-CoV-2, influenza viruses are spread primarily by droplet transmission; the lower transmissibility of seasonal influenza virus (R0 = 1.28) compared with that of SARS-CoV-2 (R0 = 2–3.5) (7) likely contributed to a more substantial interruption in influenza transmission. These findings suggest that certain community mitigation measures might be useful adjuncts to influenza vaccination during influenza seasons, particularly for populations at highest risk for developing severe disease or complications.

I remember reading back in October that they were expecting lower flus because of social distancing efforts also.
So both social distancing, masks and more flu shots should have lowered the amount of flus this year and guess what? It did!

So get your flu shots people, it works. Most of us already knew that, despite the constant misinformation about it's effectiveness. There are years of data proving that MILLIONS of hospitalizations have been reduced by flu shots and that would result in many thousands of people who DID NOT get pneumonia and died.

The thing that gets me, is why is Bill Gates a spokesperson with vaccines? O.k., so he has a lot of money and bought a bunch of laboratories or something, but the guy is a computer geek, not a medical professional. It's like he is practicing medicine without license, just like he was driving without a license.

Imagine if the head of the I.T. department, that you work at said, you need to take the flu vaccine, or you will be in jeopardy of causing death. You would tell the guy at I.T., to go take a hike?

Let's just say, Bill Gates was a doctor, and he came out with a diagnosis and treatment plan, is it not the right of a patient to seek a second opinion, or even a third? Maybe he is a little to qualified to reset passwords all day, but I didn't vote for him to practice medicine on me.

What I am reading is that the COVID
I mean old Billy Boy Gates DID say "If we do a good job with vaccines we can slow down population growth..."
His theory is that if parents in villages who have lots of children because they know many will not survive to adult hood throught diseases like malaria get their kids vaccinated and know they won't die of malaria they won't feel the need to have so many children. I don't know if that is true. My guess is that due to their love of children and big families they will keep having as many as they can because they don't see people as a burden but as a resource.

As to the vaccine and fertility I am reading that the virus has a greater risk of causing that kind of problem. Testing for it does not mean anyone has been had a problem from the vaccine. Why would they be testing for it if it doesn't cause it? Someone has a theory and thinks it is worth investigating

That's just a conspiracy theory, he totally doesn't mean to do that... also that's totally not connected with him having stock in these pharmaceutical companies, it's just being smart doing business, but it's all with good intent and saving the world. Now he's working on technology to darken the sun - there's no need to ask the rest of the Earth's inhabitants, because we know he has good intents and we know that nothing can go wrong when you produce insane amounts of chemical smoke to block the sun for the entire planet. And in case you've seen him saying that he wants to depopulate the planet on video, that's been fact checked. You didn't actually see and hear him saying that, you just think you see it and hear it when you watch it on the video, but it didn't happen he's never said that, so maybe you need to get your health checked
