Without the cross, I could not be saved.
so to say the cross did nothing save anyone is just crazy. No one is saved without the cross. Everyone who is saved is because of the cross

Actually, yeah it did, not by itself agreed, but to say it did not removes it from the equation
There is no ill will felt from them because they do not believe there is a heaven or hell. or even a spiritual God.

Romans 1 says differently, thATS why they can not use the excuse they did not know on judgment day, because they know GOD HAS SHOWN IT TO THEM

One of the illogical inconsistencies non-believers present is a desire to go to heaven
They think God a big meanie because He will not allow them
entrance even though they refuse to acknowledge His existence
We are saved by his life not his death . If he did not rise then we would be all lost .
I don't believe any more that God sends anyone to hell. God can only bless - it says in the Scripture the same fountain (mouth) cannot source blessings and curses.
I believe WE condemn ourselves to various hells, destructions, curses, etc. Careful reading reveals that we condemn ourselves by our own words and out of own mouth. God of truth plays a role akin to a mirror that makes us face our own evil.
As in:
"With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward."
Or:
"For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Or:
"God gave them over to"... [Insert their own inventions]" Etc.
Or:
"Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant"
Or:
"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned"

Then say it, say the cross alone did not save you or something to that affect
don’t just say the cross did not save you, that comment would be in error and could be very misleading to people, and when your trying to help someone see it your way, just puts you in a state of being unreliable. All because you left out a few words

even religious churches who believe in Jesus but do not believe to the saving of the soul, because they have not repented from dead works. They still believe those works save them

if he did not die, we would all be lost. So it is his death (the lamb of God) his ressurection and ultimately the offer of the gift and how we react to the offer,
your trying to support something that is unsupportable, it’s not going to help your argument against calvinism
