I think that you still have the wrong implication of the word "world" in John 3:16. It has reference to the "world of believers", and not the "adorning world". God redeemed his people, that he gave to his Son, from the curse of their sins. Sometime in their life, God quickened them to a spiritual life that they could believe in the things of the Spirit.

"The 'Kosmos' of believers"? How then do you apply this to "love not the kosmos"? And, "my Kingdom is not this world of believers"?

So now you are the arbiter of what John meant, and assign meaning outside of the context. John isn't contrasting or comparing Jews and gentiles. He is clearly by context and normal read comprehension methods simply talking about sin and the atonement of Christ.

Christ's death on the cross is not an offer to mankind, for mankind to accept, but was an offering to God for God's acceptance. His elect, sometime in their life are quickened by God's sovereign grace, without spiritual faith, which was given as a fruit of the Holy Spirit, by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in regeneration, after having already been justified, and had the penalty of their sins removed, on the cross,

Our spiritual faith can justify us as we sojourn here on earth, but Christ's faithfulness in going to the cross justified us eternally.

The four types of ground are representing the condition of the faith of God's born again children, and has nothing to do with the unregenerate natural man. In each one of the four examples it starts off with "the people hearing the word".

John 10:27-28, My sheep (born again children of God) hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

The natural, unregenerate, man, as depicted in 1 Cor 2:14, CANNOT hear the things of the Spirit to understand them, and thinks them to be foolishness.

The natural man cannot hear, to understand, the things of the Spirit, until God quickens him to a spiritual life with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Eph 2.

Hey brother, the theme is not the Kingdom. We've been thrashing around over the duty of the Holy Spirit to reprove men of sin. I personally think we've said all there is to say. Let each of us go on to the next theme having taken with them the thoughts of the other for consideration.

Propitiation is payment for.

Propitiation means you have been saved from the wrath of God. God's Wrath has been satisfied, He is appeased on one's behalf and at peace and reconciled. Did you know that propitiation also means reconciliation? Heb 2:17

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
