Yes, I'm planning on maybe starting a small little garden next Spring, learn about seeds, and how to harvest seeds. Baby steps.

I heard of lawsuits regarding the monsanto seeds, and this is a concern. No question.
Ever get a hold of those nasty tomatoes that have like a big hook in them? They give me shivers. We grow our own now and are also able to buy local...nice tomatoes that are 'normal'. Also growing other things as well. My preference are the raised gardens. Going to have to get going with those.

Reminds me. I once cut up a couple of potatoes that had those 'eyes' and little sprouts all over and planted them. In the fall, I got a huge big bucket full of really nice potatoes. I felt accomplished LOL!

Awesome!

Yes, potatoes are so easy to grow. Did the same thing one time.

I'm gonna try growing corn, should be a fun experiment.

Raised gardens seem much easier on the back, good idea, but a lot of prep work.

We are one body partakers of the same bread unfortunately there are to many false teachings out there so I understand why there are so many offshoots of Christianity.
Let me unravel what I said for you.

Somebody decides that the truth from the pulpit is not truth enough for them and they gather others of like mind and before you know it, you have the 36th Truth of the Gospel church springing up in a rented space in a mall.

Not trying to insult you. There are actual reasons to split at times, for example Luther's split from the RCC, but often enough, it is some little thing like the pianist needing to wear less jewellery.

We are living in the midst of plenty of heretical teachings, but too many also think they are the only purveyors of truth. ;)

God is the One working in you both to will and to work according to His good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13
And my Father says to me (James 1:22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Corn is easy. I love corn relish and made my own once from home grown corn. I really should get back into doing more stuff like that.

From all I have read about gardening, the raised beds, while alot of work at first, do seem to be the way to go

Your right but if you have Spirit of Truth guiding you then other false doctrines can be easily spotted.

Were gonna need some pictures, once your raised gardens are completed. :)

I have the book, Country Living by Carla Emery, and that should help with understand gardening and such.

Time to be more self reliant and return to the land like our ancestors.

An aunt and uncle my family visited regularly had a well, and one of the first things some of us kids would do on arrival at their farm and departing the car was to run to the well in the yard and pump the handle to get the water to come out :giggle: It was such a novelty LOL
Yes those pumps were fun! My Grandparents (mother's side) had bought a really nice big home on a lake for the family (their daughters, husbands and children) and in the kitchen, was one of those pumps over the sink. We had other plumbing as well, but the old pump handle was fun. Was painted red.

I don't know you and for sure we have to be filled with the Holy Spirit and be guided by Him, but I have had some not very nice interactions with people who think they are not able to be wrong.

We also need to really know the word, probably the best enabler of staying away from deception, and never assume we cannot be wrong.

I didn’t say I can’t be wrong I just know when I hear truth or not the Spirit of truth guides me.

I don't think I really want to go all ancestral. I like indoor plumbing too much  Also, no place for the donkey to help plow the field. Mind you, they have bred alot of mini cows, donkeys and tiny chickens.

Don't hold your breath on photos. Haven't even decided where they would go!

I was not meaning you personally. I was only speaking generally. I don't know you. :)

It doesn't look to bad, to be honest, if it's done right. I'm thinking like a smaller town, that still has city jobs, not quite liking the idea of living in the sticks quite yet.

Watched this video yesterday.

Doing Gods Will not your own
Agreed. And this is the Will of God:

John 6:28-29 New King James Version (NKJV)
28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

To add ANYTHING to this is trampling on the Son of God, who sweat Blood in prayer asking His Father if there was ANY OTHER WAY.

You will sleep like a log every evening after all the duties to be performed on daily basis. I guess it will also keep you in good shape too. 😂💪

Agreed. Doug Bachelor has a video that showed his ranch in Covolo, California.

I really like Doug Bachelor, would like to meet him one day, and thank him.
