Now me being from Texas you know I support guns none of the new laws are infringing are rights I promise you there keeping them out of the hands of violent criminals. I can sell a gun and to anybody in Texas without doing background check as long as they are resident also that needs to be fixed anyone can get a gun felon or not. Now are they going to get more strict down the road time will tell.

Not here it’s a private sell as long as we are both residents I just sold three few months ago I think i better know the law before I do it. And for your second ? No they don't. When I lived in Nevada and Oklahoma we could buy guns private party and or at gun shows without background checks.
Only gun dealers are required to do 'due diligence' before selling Guns. The purchaser is responsible in private sales. Most (not all states) forbid convicted felons from purchasing or having handguns in possession. Again it's still a matter of states rights. So far.

@Truth7t7 Well I do oppose Trump and unbridled capitolism but I'm not a Democrat. I'm a loner. I do believe social reform is necessary to put the working class back equal to the wealthy. I think that folks like you support retaining the status quo and don't consider FDR the hero of the 20th century. How do you think that we got back on our feet and won WW2?
Now we have a new kind of war. Manufacturing and export of durable goods are more than importation of them. The global economy is the new national enemy. Co-ops are more needed than corporations, if the working class are to survive that is... Once the working class profits increase The taxes collected will be paid for by money spent. Overall profits, quality of life, abundance of healthcare and education are necessary and will improve. The working class will not settle for status quo for long. It always causes a revolution. The end is usually worse to boot.

To tell the truth I stumbled onto Christian Chat because I was Curious about Quakerism. After he was elected I started looking for a denomination that opposed both party lines and remembered the Friends protesting outside of the White House during the Viet Nam war. After having gone to their fellowships on several occasions. Their come as you are, non ceremonial sometimes silent. Sometimes standing at random, sharing then sitting down was interesting. I took a personality test to see which denomination that I most closely fitted among and the answer was Friends. (AKA Quakers) I didn't know their doctrinal stance so I wanted to know more.
The first two responses that I received were from the Crazy Cat Lady and Magenta. She took a similar test and got a similar answer. I chose calibob as my screen name to irritate pundits that accused all Californians of being liberals. They forget that hyper conservatives like Nixon and Reagan as well as moderately conservative Arnold Schwarzenegger and Pete Wilson call Cali home.
For the record I oppose liberal morality and conservative economics. I can't call myself an independent because former Gov. Wallace and Senator Sanders did also. The former was a pro Segregationist and the other an admitted Socialist. At least Bernie admits it.
I'm more inclined to follow the first century ethics of sharing most of my valuables with others. My only personal property that I keep for myself now is; this computer, my NIV Recovery Bible, a duffel bag full of clothes a wheelchair 2 pairs of shoes and a cane some paper, pens & pencils.
No cars, Phones, radios, TV's, jewelry or other unnecessary. junk. Not even a watch. No creditors, bills, debts or mortgages either. Just a bus pass, room & board.

BACKGROUND
A small denomination with approximately 80,000 adherents in the United States, the Religious Society of Friends shares common roots in a Christian movement that arose in England during the middle of the 17th century. Separations over time have resulted in different branches of Friends that emphasize different parts of this common history. Today, there are at least three distinct branches of Friends: Friends General Conference (representing “liberal” unprogrammed Quakers), Friends United Meeting (representing mostly mainline pastoral Meetings), and Friends Evangelical Friends Church International (representing the most evangelical pastoral branch).
Friends or Quaker congregations, known as communities or meetings, are almost completely autonomous. Because there is no central authority that speaks for all Quakers, modern Friends exhibit significant variations in the ways they interpret their traditions and practice their beliefs, including matters related to LGBTQ equality.
LGBTQ EQUALITY
ON SEXUAL ORIENTATION & GENDER IDENTITY
Many Quaker communities are open and welcoming to LGBTQ people, and an increasing number take the marriages and unions of LGBTQ couples under their care. Others hold differing views on a wide range of LGBTQ issues, including non-discrimination, civil marriage rights, support for families headed by LGBTQ people, and spiritual equality.
The Friends General Conference, one of three major national associations for Friends meetings and churches in the United States, issued a statement in fall 2004, “Minute on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Friends,” emphasizing that LGBTQ people were welcome in their religious community. It states,“Our experience has been that our Gatherings and Central Committee work have been immeasurably enriched over the years by the full participation and Spirit-guided leadership of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer Friends. We will never go back to silencing those voices or suppressing those gifts. Our experience confirms that we are all equal before God, as God made us, and we feel blessed to be engaged in the work of Friends General Conference together.”
In addition, the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), an independent Quaker organization working nonviolently for peace, human rights and social and economic justice, has been involved in advocacy for LGBTQ rights and recognition since the 1960s. In November 1999, the AFSC board of directors issued a statement, “A Concern About Sexual and Gender Identity,” expressing their support for LGBTQ equality: “We find that claiming our full sexuality becomes a joyful act of obedience and trust in our Creator's wisdom. When we trust the expression of our sexual identity in a loving and just relationship, our reliance on and commitment to God's revealed leadings is deepened. Doing so compels a sincere and continual search for God’s way in this most intimate and undefended area of our lives. The resulting varieties of relationship and gender identity, in their complex, responsible, rich and surprising range, are a continuing reminder that God's plan is beyond human understanding."
