Please pray that God can show me the appropriate path in the search of a doctor who shows compassion and due diligence practice to a complicated patient like me. This doctor asked me repeatedly to look for another doctor when I honestly report how I feel with medication when I am just saying I don't feel well....

At the moment, i am in the process of weaning off inderal. Can anyone share their experience with weaning off inderal..The suggested plan from my GP. 5mg every other day for a week, then 5mg every two day for a week, 5mg for every three days , then stop
Would this cause big fluctuations? Start at 10mg , then reduce to 7mg. 5mg....and then start weaning off inderal
..Sounds I found an element of anxiety had been attached when I stop inderal abruptly.

When I stop 5 mg for one day, I cannot sleep but reducing it to 3,5mg or less I sleep better.....I think it is better start the withdrawal when I am on a lower dose. Really need to look for another doctor...

Can anyone share their experience of weaning off from inderal or is there any nurse of doctors who can share their general thoughts...
Furthermore, the endo also try to cut my neomercozle as well when I become Euthyroid during Oct....Start the medication on 15/7
Would this make the withdrawal process more challenging?

Is there any nurse or docs or anyone who experience similar situation, I am happy to hear a your experience?

Inderal is a beta-blocker. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation. Inderal is used to treat tremors, angina, hypertension, heart rhythm disorders, and other heart or circulatory conditions. It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack, and to reduce the severity and frequency of migraine headaches. Inderal may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

I have a lot of experience in the treatment and recovery from addiction. However this being a serious medication for serious and possibly deadly heart ailment, I would encourage you to not only consult but seek medical supervision before attempting to quit.

Yes, I have asked advice from pharmacists, and the endocrin who suggest I can start wean off
but the GP had a very strange advice. Blessed is the one who does not walked in step with wicked really remind me of the GP who shut the door and bully me , asking me to find another doctors when I express my concern about medication....He say he had already asked patients who argue with him to go away ..... he lacks compassionsss........and not deserved to be a doctor

Unless I confused you with someone... I think I remember you coming before also, struggling with a disinterested/unhelpful doctor... is this the same person? I'm so sorry. Love has become cold for sure... Praying that you somehow get to change doctors and for a compassionate doctor for you.
@calibob is right, you shouldn't be doing anything without doctor's supervision.
I hope you find relief in Jesus' name.

Soul weaver, you are correct, I came here before sharing my difficulties with that doctor
Now I already left that doctor and continue my battle with withdrawing Inderal. I am now reducing it to 2.5mg starting at 10 mg. As my thyroid becoming more stable, I am cutting inderal...I am seeing a new GP who is willing to listen to patient's feelings and discuss openly with patients.. Please continue to pray for my withdrawal process...Sleep is still an issue for me but better than before. Need to sleep peacefully under the grace of God. I began learning to thanks God when I wake up every day with the breath of life to lead a normal life, appreciate the nature created by HIm....Regarding the Doctor, my friend asked me to report his behavior , a kind of bullying and choosing patients that is less complicated.....so that he will not victimized other patients . But this is not the best time to do it as I am pretty weak.. Pray that this doctor will stop his unethical behaviour.

I take it because I become hyperthyroid. Now , my thyroid level is normal , So it is time to wean off inderal However, I had sleep problems while stopping it abruptly . Now I am trying to do it slowly , reduced to 2.5 mg now....hope I need not rely on it and stop it smoothly

Lord, please give Snowball the best treatment for their withdrawal issue. Take away all side effects so they resume their normal life. In Jesus' name, amen.

According to the Mayo Clinic online
"Beta blockers. Although these drugs are usually used to treat high blood pressure and don't affect thyroid levels, they can ease symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as a tremor, rapid heart rate and palpitations. For that reason, your doctor may prescribe them to help you feel better until your thyroid levels are closer to normal."
And Inderal is a beta blocker.
So this drug isn't doing anything to help your thyroid, merely helping the symptoms, and thus coming off of it is pointless if you're expecting to be cured.

Also doctors and nurses could not legally dispense medical advice, especially relating to medications, outside of a doctors office. It opens them up to being sued and losing their medical license.

If a doctor insists you change doctors and refuses to treat you that is their legal right, not bullying. They apparently recognize their inability to deal with you for whatever reason and I'd say it's smart of a doctor to say something. Even if it is a personal issue with you it is better that they distance themselves from you.
It can be a hit to your pride (it happened to me once) but calling it bullying seems excessive.
And this frees you up to find a doctor that can better treat you. It's a plus for you, as well.
Also, if you've complained about this same doctor before, and are back complaining again, why would you Want to stay with them? Why were you not the one to leave them previous to this?

Well. I already leave the doctor. It is quite hurtful because I have been trusting thid doctor for years and he just ask me to go away in a rude way Perhaps, he wish to protect himself without considering the consequences on me . If he is unable to cure me, he should have sent me to another doctor or specialistss. In my country , a doctor cannot just ask his patient to go away. That's aginsts the law. He should sent the patient to a specialist or another doctor if he ask the patient to go away

If he's so bad that you've complained previously you should be grateful to be away from him.
It would be interesting to hear his side, though.

Thanks for all your visible and invisible prayers .I am currently fine with 2.5 mg which I can't make a month ago. I take it because of palpitation and hyperthyroidism. See I can continue weaning off these dose when I am prepared to..This 2.5 mg seems help to put me to sleep..for 4.5-6 hours now....2.5 mg is really a very very low dose . I will continue looking natural herbs ...

.My new GP has advised me to take Mirtzapine 15mg (15mg)a kind of antipresant...however, I don't want to take another medication and then, gone through the same withdrawal process again....Nonetheless, i am already at a very low dose of inderal...I am now doing it under the observation of the new GP

The withdrawal plan of stopping it every other day , and then every two days and then every three days , and then stop isn't suitable for every person. It would cause big fluctuation in health because of withdrawal effects.. For me, i cannot sleep at all ....Sleepless, sensitive to heat...especially when temp is high

I talked to a pharmacists who told me many patients gradually reducing the dose rather than skipping a higher dose every other day , every two day,. etc....

My current heart rate is around 69-89...., depending on my level activity , mood and sleep quality . Taking 2,5 mg and anti thyroid drugs....which had been reduced in the current month....as well.

Pray that my withdrawal process is smooth and my body can rely on its own functioning without inderal under His grace and out of my experience , I can help others who is going through similar difficulties , glorifying His name and almighty.
