If a Sabbath is forced, Will you keep Sunday holy?

There is a huge difference to correct in love and expose false teachings. Opinions vary, a Messianic follows certain Jewish celebrations and instructions, however, that does not mean they are living according to the LAW for salvation. I personally enjoyed a wonderful time in Israel celebrating Shabbat... it is a beautiful weekly time of enjoying family and what God did for His people. I have looked at why God gave certain instructions and it was always for a good reason... but I do not rely on those things for salvation. They are ways of going deeper into the heart and thoughts of God....

we need to be very cautious and sure when we ”expose false teachings”, take time to listen to the person’s heart and reasons and MOST IMPORTANTLY get on your knees and allow the Holy Spirit to teach,,,, it may just be that we are the ones needing to learn something to grow in truth and become moreChrist-like.

what would an unbeliever think if he came to check this platform out.... it is God’s wish that NOONE PERISH.

I guess that is why we all need to be hearing God for His opinion for our individual walks Of truth.

Anyway, I am new here, it’s just my observation. We are supposed to do everything to try live in unity and peace,

I have studied scripture under a man whose commentary on scripture is published by the Messianic Church, and according to this study the Messianic does not believe in following Jewish celebrations and customs. However, they believe in the old testament as scripture as well as the new testament, so there is a difference of opinion about what we are not obliged to follow and what is only of the Jews.

They feel that because the law of love is to be followed, rather than the law in stone, that certain customs follow this law of love. As an example that both the Messianic and other churches agree on is prayer. Jews follow the commandment to pray, so do other churches.

There are different sects to Messianic fellowship, as there are in Christianity,,, many Messianic Jewish people celebrate Sabbath, Pesach, and other festivals as God commanded it to be done throughout all generations, but we must know salvation is different from the law. Many saved people have gone back to the law, and which also is a problem.
There is no harm in following and learning Gods heart regarding the festivals, as long as one remembers that salvation is through the Messiah..

Anyway, for me this subject is closed.

To say that celebrating the salvation of Christ with feasts is going back to the law does not in any way make sense.

Saved people can say no to this celebration and saved people can love the Lord so they want to celebrate Christ.

You have made a statement that is not at all true, and you keep repeating it. That is NOT closing a subject. It is telling a lie and saying you are correct with it. Celebrating Christ is NOT going back to the law.

We agree. Then why do you always respond to any mention of how to live with Christ in our hearts with repeating over and over that we are not saved by works?

Living a Christian life is a huge subject, full of meat not baby food. That we are not saved by works is basic, and accepted by all Christians--otherwise they would not be a Christian. Yet not saved by works is central to your posts. Why? You seem to otherwise have a wonderful grasp of the Lord's ways, you are not a baby in Christ.

Galatians 3:10 (KJV) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

James 2:10 (KJV) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
 
everyone is on a different forgiveness of....... to learning to mature, no spiritual mallet is not always needed

Hi
Its not about looking to the law for salvation, but to look deeper into the HEART of God. Big difference, the law cannot save us.

Im in no way condemning people if they not taking part in the festivals. And I’m not saying we must celebrate Christ’s with feastsby going back to the LAW.
what I’m saying is there is deeper understanding to the HEART of God as we seek Him and find Him. I have no problem if people choose not to follow feasts, their journey and hearing from God is not for me to challenge. We all walking our own walk.

Just maybe God is trying to change something in us, when we have different viewpoints. We should speak from a place of Spirit, to encourage, uplift and spur each other on To godliness.

Difference in opinion does not need to lead to running people down. We all seeking truth and should be continually doing that and try love each other in that process of uniqueness. If one does not like something, get on your knees and pray and HEAR from God what to do For the other person and maybe for oneself too. Iron sharpens iron...- that’s what fellowship should be. Just maybe God is trying to change something in us, when we have different viewpoints. We should speak from a place of Spirit, to encourage, uplift and spur each other on To godliness.

I am merely stating what I have observed, personally I do not celebrate festivals, however I don’t believe it is wrong if you know the only way for salvation is through the Messiah. With that said, and after living in Israel for a short time, I certainly believe there are ways to go deeper into the heart of God, should one be open to it. I am not forcing anyone to do anything...

Again, it is not about finding salvation in the law, Christ finished that work for us...... I lived in Israel a short time and it was truly a blessing to have certain viewpoints of mine challenged. Remember the Jews (not saved) used the law to try be saved, so to speak. That I do not agree with, as we have Christ/Messiah who bought us at a price by shedding his blood for us on the cross and removing ALL efforts of the law to save a person. I’m just trying to relay that God had a reason for certain things that he instructed, they were to just help us on our walk with him, if we wanted to seek him in those directions. Not everybody goes the same way. I am open to the Messianic way of worshipping, although I will always remember not to strive for the law does not save. Anyway, I see we all on unique viewpoints and that is good, as it encourages us to love each other in our differences.
