Amen! Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Obeying God‘s Commandments after we have been saved through faith is works.
You can call it anything you want, BUT THE BIBLE SAYS that it is our duty to keep HIS Commandments, Just like I believe that it is A man's Duty to teach his children up right, And I don't count that as work ether, And I believe GOD.
GOD bless as HE sees GOOD for YOU.

I away agree with the Apostles and Disciples in THE BIBLE, The BIBLE IS ALWAYS RIGHT, When Every Body in the whole world disagree with the Scripture, They ARE WRONG, If any Church disagree with anything in the BIBLE, EVEN the S.D.A.THAT church is Wrong, And the BIBLE is Right, That is when I started learning in the BIBLE is when I realize that when I read two scriptures and what I read in the two Scriptures does not AGREE and seems to contradict each other, then I know that the way I believe IS WRONG, And start looking for something else IN the scriptures that helps me under stand what it is really saying. All scriptures ARE SAYING THE SAME THING, And none Contradict Another one, IF it does, our doctrine is WRONG,
I don't really know what you are asking, I hope this answer your question, If not fill free to ask maybe in different works, what you are saying. May GOD bless you as GOD sees GOOD for YOU.

A lot changed with the institution of the New Covenant. Some seem unaware of just how much :geek:

There are plenty of Scriptures in the new testament to tell us what I said, GOD will not change nothing in the BIBLE, that he has not set up from the beginning

Crosses, pictures of angels, statuary of any kind, do you have these things in your home or at your church?

Sabbath rest has always pointed to resting from our works, to rest in the completed work of Jesus.

Funny how you say, nothing is changed, but then claim certain things have.

When did I say that I am opposed to the Lord giving us rules that are ways to love? Since the entire old covenant law has been made obsolete, does this leave us with no obligation to love? Absolutely not! God made obsolete the old covenant to "put legally into place" the new covenant (2 Corinthians 3:6-9; Hebrews 8:6-13). The life of discipleship flows out of the command, to love one another as He loved us (John 13:34), which Paul refers to as the "law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2) Love fulfills the law. (Romans 13:8-10) This does not mean we are under old covenant law. People who continue to push the law constantly point to the 10 commandments from the old covenant law yet disregard the passages of scripture that I cited in this post and in post #284.

https://christianchat.com/bible-dis...-keep-sunday-holy.196116/page-15#post-4432485

The 4th commandment under the law of Moses is what this is mainly about with law pushers. References for the moral aspect of 9 of the 10 commandments are reiterated under the new covenant, yet the command to keep the sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the new covenant. (Colossians 2:16-17)

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - 1 Timothy 6:1; James 2:7; 5:12
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3

Law pushers cannot seem accept this and prefer to remain under old covenant law (with a heavy emphasis on the 4th commandment under the law of Moses). Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 10:31) that is not binding on Christians under the new covenant.
Thanks so much for answering. I am sorry, I am still bewildered. You say the whole old covenant law has been wiped out, abolished, yet love has not been abolished. Do you think that ten commandments are "old covenant law"? All the commandments are ways to love, so if they are abolished then then it follows that love is abolished.

The new covenant is to put these laws into our hearts, before they were given in stone so sometimes man did not understand they were of love and obeyed without love. That meant, as Christ pointed out, that they were not obeyed at all. I don't see the love in the law abolished, but with the new covenant we can see the true law accurately.

If we can wipe out what God says completely, abolishing what God has said instead of understanding it better, we are in trouble. We have a God who changes, and anything can happen to us.

The works I do are NOT for my salvation. So sad you cannot understand that :(

I rest in the completed work of Jesus. So sad you do not understand that, either.

We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which
God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Do you agree that according to the Apostles in the Scriptures I gave it states that the gentiles were not required to be circumcised and follow the law given to the Hebrews?

1 COR 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
JEWS and gentiles are saved the same way NOW, neither one needs to be Circumcision, BUT they are to keep GOD's Commandments, is what it say in the BIBLE, The Circumcision now is in the Heart, being Change

Faith Is to OBEY. Not just the Sabbath, But ALL of GOD's Commandments And HIS HOLY WORD......
Faith that saves is belief, trust, reliance in Jesus Christ for salvation. (John 3:15,16,18; Acts 10:43; 16:31; Romans 3:24-28; 5:1 etc..). Obedience which follows is works. You could not make it any clearer that you teach salvation by works. :(

Your argument sounds similar to this argument below in blue taken from a conversation that I had with a Roman Catholic:

We ARE saved by faith - as long as you properly define "Faith". Faith is NOT simply "believing". Faith INCLUDES: Being baptized, eating His body and drinking His blood/partaking the Lord's Supper during Mass, works of mercy and charity, obeying his commandments.. etc..

His argument about faith being “defined as” and INCLUDES these works above equates to salvation through faith (his version of faith) + works. We are saved through faith and not by works. (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9 etc..).

This is not SO, if that was true Satan has far more faith then we DO, and GOD would haft to save Satan to.
It is A faith that WORKS that will GET US SAVED , All you haft to do to see this is look at Abraham GOD said it Abraham done it. Abraham KEPT GOD'S COMMANDMENTS around 400 years before Moses was Born, And believe they kept them if they wanted to be SAVED

I'm not asking you about only circumcision so I bold'ed the words the law, which is referring to "the law of Moses" do you agree that the gentiles are not to follow the law given to the Hebrews as the Apostles stated in Acts 15?
