It's not a qoute of Isaiah it is the SAME STORY as Isaiah - Christ coming, publishing peace and bringing good will TO EVERYBODY. The NASB has it as peace coming to people who God is pleased with.

It does not matter how you interpret isaiah 52 or that you perceive that luke 2 is referencing Isaiah 52. What matters in translating text is what words are there in the text and what words are not. We don't get to change the text because we are interpreting.

Basically the NASB is an updated asv which is an american counter part to the ESV which is a revised KJV, from 1880.
Understanding that they also used the "newer" codex, as well as the textus receptus to translate the NASB, all the verses missing from the NIV are still in the NASB, (because they valued the textus receptus as the main source for translation) they are however italicized so that the reader will know that these are the verses in question, between the two bodies of texts.
They explain most of this in the cover of the NASB.
There is a lot of study involved and there isn't just a some resource that spells it all out for you.
I landed on the NASB as a result of much reading and study. Over the span of about 2 years.
I will tell ya that the KJV onlyist cult actually pressed me into it. I was a kjv guy but they kept bashing the NIV guys (I hated this bashing, so I started using the Young's literal, which is a very difficult read). any way they pointed out the missing verses at every discussion or bashing session as it were. So I took up studying the schools of translation. That's how I landed on the NASB, what I believe to be the most honest translation.

Your claim is false,the NASB is in the lineage of the American Standard Version 1901, that used the 1881 Westcott Hort Greek Text, this text has absolutely nothing to do with the KJV or The Textus Receptus,but follows the Alexandrian Greek Text, Sinaticus, and Vaticanus both from Egypt

The 1995 NASB follows the Greek Text created by Adulterer Kurt Aland (Novum Testamentum Graece) also known as the NA26th

Jut because a guy writes an interlineary using the two does not mean that one was used to translate the other. That's called circumstantial and it in admissable as evidence.
