My favorite translations are (in no particular order):

KJV (I was raised on this version and I like the language in it)
NKJV (I use this primarily for study and for quoting Scripture; it's easier to follow and understand)
(Original) NIV
NLT
HCSB

I've heard that the NASB and ESV are really good translations too, but I haven't really read through them enough to make an assessment.

Let’s see your argument into a further detail. What I am saying is that the alternate “Al” were in the marginal notes in the KJV because they have considered “other” reading expressed in the “Or’ argument of yours. “Other” is not to mean an “equivalent” when it was used by the KJV translators and they have something to decide which word best fits the KJV text and reject the other reading i.e. “Or”. Let me give me you one example:
In 2 Peter 2:2 the original 1611 says on the marginal note as seen below taken from the link I gave || Or lafcivious ways as fome copies reade. My bible KJV published by Hendrickson has this in English in its footnotes “Or lascivious ways, as some copies read”. In the Bois notes, MS 98 includes the “Al.” from the Greek with lascivious ways, impure ways. Here we have two readings from the TR and other readings from the Greek. Certainly, the KJ translators decided after much deliberation, debates about the subject but found altogether agreed “pernicious ways’ to be the right word in 2 Peter 2;2 instead of “lascivious ways” simply because of the context as found in 2 Peter 2:1 that defines “pernicious” as “swift destruction” rather than “lascivious” or lustful. The exact meaning as the product of “comparing spiritual things” 1 Cor. 2:13, does not offer contradiction although we have the two readings found. In the reading set in 1611 KJV text is the final taken word and that matter of marginal note is nothing but to only show that there was indeed “other” “Or” “Al.” copies but then again, these were rejected words in the final analysis.

The word of God is the spirit of Christ why wouldn’t we worship the spirit of Christ?

Nothing wrong in worshiping God , that is what He calls us to do...
And all of us who do not read the KJV but read other bibles , the word of God , worship Him in Spirit and Truth also...
It seems to me that only the KJV only readers come out screaming against others who also read the word of God...

What about people in the far away countries who have had other bible versions translated into their own language , not from the KJV , they have been saved , and I praise God for that...

Gods word will not come back void...

I would assume God gave his word to all people’s in their languages.

But some places no man has had Gods word , that is until the missionaries went out to them to preach the good news...
And people still to this day have bibles translated for these far away places , and it s not from the KJV versions...
Maybe some I do not know , but I know many are not...

Angela is saying the same thing the NASB is saying. That verse has nothing to do with people, Gods people or otherwise. It’s about Christ bringing the message of peace and good tidings.... Christ bringing his words, the New Testament to the world.

I like it. And Dec 25th is not such a far fetched idea as some think.

The earliest source stating 25 December as the date of birth of Jesus is likely a book by Hippolytus of Rome, written in the early 3rd century. He based his view on the assumption that the conception of Jesus took place at the Spring equinox which Hippolytus placed on 25 March, and then added nine months to calculate the date of birth.

We always hear about the pagan feasts on Dec 25 that they wanted to replace with a Christian theme, but Hippolytus theory was not a crazy theory. Maybe he was right?
