Hi! Yes, we need a great spiritual revival here in the USA, and around the world! I pray for that daily! God is tired of lukewarmness, and wants our religiousness towards Him to be hot! Professing Christians need to be just as religious and devoted to God on all days of the week as they seek to be on Sundays! God bless you!
Hi! I agree to an extent with how you explained it. But to me - it makes more sense to say that GOd does command everyone to repent - just as it is worded to say in that verse. This doesn't mean that all will choose to obey His commands, of course. But those who choose not to obey that command in this life - will end up in hell if they never come to repentance in this life. It's true that those who choose to obey His commands are those whose hearts have opened up to the Lord, in response to the Spirit's working on them to do so.

Hi! They won't! It's because having an open heart towards the gospel is absolutely necessary in order to come to repentance that saves. Having an open heart - means to be sincerely seeking God. So many are not sincere in their seeking of God. It makes all the difference between whether they will understand the gospel or not. And after coming to a correct understanding of the gospel - they can then make the decision to repent of their sins and to accept Jesus as Lord (God and Master) and Savior of their life - which will save them.

A great spiritual revival is a real one - not a fake one, in which most people affected by it have failed to get saved - due to failure to come to repentance!
Anything from the new testament ,where we see that this heavy emphasis on making Jesus Lord and Master , Anything on stopping sinning before God will even respond ect ?
The natural unregenerate man will not repent of breaking a spiritual law that he cannot discern, and thinks it to be foolishness. Spiritual repentance is reserved for the regenerated children of God. When the regenerated child of God breaks a spiritual law, it separates them from their fellowship with God, because God will not fellowship sin, until he repents. Sin does not separate them from their eternal inheritance, because Jesus paid for the sins of those that his Father gave him, and after they are born into this world by natural birth, God regenerates them.My grandpa Bert, was a Seargeant in World War I. And a seargeant gives commands! And they must be obeyed. God commands people everywhere to repent! It's not a matter of waiting around for someone to do it for you. God already did His part - He provided the way of salvation to the world through Jesus' dying on the cross for the sins of the world. And following that - He commands all people to repent! So the next step is yours. Not His! He is not wiling that any should perish, though He knows many will end up in hell - due to willfully rejecting God in their lives. But choose not to be like those who choose to reject Him, and who refuse to repent of their sins! Hell is a terrible place to spend all eternity after this life - in! While heaven is the most wonderful place there is - to spend all eternity in! Up there - you'll be in God's presence forever, and will be happier than you've ever been before while on earth!

Hi! True, there needs to be a change of mind, in order for repentance to begin! I realize that some sincere Christians think it isn't possible for a true Christian to fall away. But I've been taught otherwise, and know of the scriptures that support the truth that some do fall away. No one helplessly falls away - it only happens when intentionally done.
' Falling away ' implies ' climbing or clinging to something. This would be salvation by works.
Jesus has already paid for their sins ..They need to obey the Gospel ( believe what Jesus has already done. )
Why do you not list Book, chapter and verse with your quotes of the scriptures? Repentance brings about that good and peaceful life that the regenerated people can enjoy as they sojourn here in this world. Repentance is not the cause of getting eternal life. I appreciate your comments. Notice that Christ is referred to as a son over HIS OWN HOUSE, which to me means his church, not eternal heaven.
Saved=delivered. Repentance is reserved for the person that has had their heart changed from the heart of stone to a fleshy heart in the new birth that can be pricked in their conscience to repent. The unregenerate natural man will not repent of breaking a spiritual law that he cannot discern, and thinks it to be foolishness, 1 Cor 2:14. Repentance is a product of the new birth, and not the cause of it.
