My thoughts have gone there in the past. Haven't yours, ever?

The more I find myself in Him, the less I am prone to such.

You don't seem to understand rest. Pity.
Would you consider it to have broken God's commandment of not to murder, we do repent of it if it happens, surely?

Your question makes little sense in light of resting in the Lord.

That seems to be what you take issue with.

It is not something to do once a week ;)

If that what you call rest, is the same for the whole week, either you are not resting in his holy presence, or I would like to ask you if you "work" for a living?

Listen, you, resting in the Lord has nothing to do with working for a living to feed, clothe, and house myself.

They have nothing to do with salvation, do they?

Like I said, you do not understand rest. Pity.

We obediently like to keep God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit's Sabbath day, and spent it in his rest. On that day we rest, as we will after death. On the other six, we labour as instructed by God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 14 (ESV)

12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Blessed indeed," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!"

2 Thessalonians 2 (ESV)

3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Yes again who have Gods True commandments Moses ? Or Jesus ?

it’s almost like you don’t agree there are two covenants . I think ultimately this should be understood it’s about Christ’s judgement not Moses accusation

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christ isn’t going to judge people based on what day they consider holy out of a week that’s all to look through a veil like Israel did so much that they rejected the truth when he came to tell them the truth. And they stayed in the darkness when he came to show them light.

this in Moses law is not the gospel

“And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭15:32-33, 35-36‬ ‭

anybody who doesn’t understand how different that is from Gods word , is reading in the dark without light

if the rules Moses announced to Israel were what mattered there would have been no new covenant needed . There would have been no need for a better word with better promises

“But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:6‬ ‭

if the New Testament was according to moses law we would be promised the nation of Israel as our promosed land as they were but ours in Christ whether gentile or Jew is better

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if it was about the old covenant our promises would all pertain to that earthly promised land like the laws blessings

If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid:

and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I

also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭26:3-6, 9, 11-12, 14-16‬ ‭

there blessing if they did all they were commanded was never a new heaven and earth ,never resurrection and eternal
Life , it was rain for thier crops and good harvests in thier oromised land . It was long years on earth and then rest with the fathers and wait for resurrection and life to come .

but when he came they were too busy focusing on things like “ his disciples picked food on the sabbath that’s forbidden he must not be the right one he isn’t keeping the letter of the law “

notice how Pharisees , teachers of the law , priests of the law all constantly tried finding any reason to accuse Jesus by the law ? And eventually sentenced him to death based upon the law and their disbelief of what he said ? It’s because of thier trust in Moses and his law not ever hearing what Moses said about Christ and HIS WORD

the people asked not to hear Gods word anymore at horeb so God replies

According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:16, 18-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I can argue that this is Jesus and another could say no no it’s not but if we believe the nt revelation not try to figure it out but just believe what’s revealed now through the Holy Ghost Peter here arguing with the Jews who insist the law is the final word

“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:22-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What Moses said there about God sending another prophet like Moses and the people would have to accept and heed his words is what Jesus was saying that they couldn’t hear

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭

Jesus is the one Moses said would come speaking Gods words that the people must accept

“He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:

and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Calling God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's commandments Moses' commandments I can not agree with. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit wrote his commandments with his own finger to Moses, and it is the same commandments God the Son spoke to us, and explained their full meaning of love for God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and fellow man as self. As a saved person, out of obedience keeping God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's Sabbath day holy, is love for God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Do you sometimes take vacations, to go and rest, from your work?
Do you "feed, clothe, and house yourself", while taking your Sabbath's rest in the Lord, and with that divided attention of yours, you are at that instant loving him undivided with ALL your heart, mind, soul and strength, or do you put time aside, one day of seven, for undivided time spent with your greatest love?
You are wrongfully focusing on something that has nothing to do with salvation and resting in the Lord.

Whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

You pit yourself against Scripture also, to think doing things to look after myself makes me double minded.

For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.

We obey God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit because we are saved, not to be saved. If we do not murder, because we know it's wrong, why would we not keep God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's Sabbath, if we know it is right, it is His will and commandment of our love to Him?

Jesus is my Sabbath rest. I already said that, but you do not understand, and as a result, present scenarios that have nothing to do with salvation and resting in the Lord, such as whether or not I work for a living, and accusing me of being double minded if I do, and asking about taking holidays. LOL.

If Jesus is your Sabbath rest, then you rest on God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's Sabbath day as well, and has no need to take vacations from your work, as you are continuously on a vacation with you best love. We rest on Sunday, coming out of the Roman Catholic Church, which rest from their labours for ages, on the seventh day Sunday. In Israel Saturday is the seventh day of Sabbath rest. Technically Constantine made a pact with the Church, not to persecute them anymore, if they would rest on Sunday (his sun god Mithra's day), as the Sabbath, and not like Judah's Jews, correctly probably, on the Saturday. I'm not saying Sunday is in sequence with the correct day of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's Sabbath's rest, but it is the seventh day we rest.

I rest in Him every day. Why is this so difficult for you to grasp?
If you rest in Him every day, Jesus is your permanent Sabbath rest, then you rest on God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's Sabbath day as well, and do not need to take vacations from work, as you are permanently on vacation with you best love, not working to eat, on the six you are commanded to do so, and you never go to a shop - causing other people to work for you on that day.

Deuteronomy 5 (KJV)

13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: 14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. 15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

If you put yourself under the law, you are obligated to keep the whole Law.

Why would we have need of Jesus if we could do that???

If you put yourself under the law, you are obligated to keep the whole Law.
"If you put yourself under the law, you are obligated to keep the whole Law."

Nobody can obey God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's commandments perfectly, that's why He gave his covenant of grace, where God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's commandments of love are written on our hearts. The commandments tells us God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's will, so we should know what to obey and what to repent of, in obedience.

Those saved by God's grace through his gift of faith, repent when they sin, when they do not obey God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's commandments in obedience.

Revelation 14 (KJV)

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

If you love God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with all your mind, sole and strength, you will keep his commandments of love to Him as well as to your neighbour as yourself. And you will not cause harm to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit's holy day, the Sabbath.

John 14 (KJV)

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
