Thanks, BenjaminN, The dry bones spells it out nicely. The Israel of Jacob is made up of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.
Pleasure ForestGreenCook, see how the gathering of the dry bones of covenant people, from every nation, links to the gospel:

John 11 (ESV)

48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation." 49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all. 50 Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish." 51 He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. 53 So from that day on they made plans to put him to death. 54 Jesus therefore no longer walked openly among the Jews (Judah/Benjamin/Levi), but went from there to the region near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim (Jacob's other tribes adopted from-, and scattered throughout the gentiles), and there he stayed with the disciples.

I have told you before, and provided scripture, that having a knowledge of the gospel does not deliver (save) a person eternally. After the new born regenerated babe in Christ comes unto a knowledge of the gospel, by gradually learning of it from teachers and preachers, it delivers (saves) them from being babes to being mature. As long as you hold all salvation scriptures to be eternal, you will never understand the doctrine that Jesus taught.
Believing the Gospel instantly Justifies a person. They recieve immediately the Holy Spirit and are the predestined to the future Adoption .

Matthew 7 (ESV)

19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. 21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

What lacks here is the belief of the Gospel that does the saving. The endless error you are fighting for is "regeneration" which is the giving of life again or from re=again, gene

Does even Satan believe the Gospel truth, that Jesus / Yeshua died for the sins of God's people, and was resurrected and ascended to heaven, and reigns in righteousness from the right hand of God the Father?

James 2 (ESV)

13 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. 14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?

The verses that you have quoted talks about coming to the light. Is that the unregenerate natural man described in 1 Cor 2:14 that is exercising his free will to come to the light? Are you saying that a man that cannot discern the things of the Spirit, and thinks them to be foolishness is going to come to them?

John 4:24, says that God is a Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 6:44 says no man can come to me (the light), except the Father which hath sent me draw him, and in verse 45 Jesus says every man that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father cometh unto me. The unregenerate natural man cannot understand Jesus's teachings.. John 10:27-28, My sheep (regenerated) hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and I give unto them eternal life.

All scriptures must harmonize in order to understand the truths in Christ's doctrine. The natural man cannot come unto the light until after he has been regenerate, by God's grace.

John 3:18-21 does, in no way, make it clear that the unregenerate natural man has a will to come to the light of spiritual things that he does not understand, and thinks to be foolishness.
You claim you cannot do what God has called you to do. How sad. Christ is the Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. All men have a capacity to seek God when presented with the gospel. As Romans 1 teaches some will be drawn to Christ because of the natural worlds wonders but all have the opportunity and see the witness of God.

Not even the passage you have qouted relates to the believing the gospel of Christ.

Romans 1 has reference to the regenerated man, not the unregenerate natural man. What is your interpretation of 1 Co2 2:14?

No one ever read Romans 1 and thought they were saved . I don't get your position here ?

Convenient excuse on your part but completely detached from the truth.

1 Cor 2:14 teaches what John 3:18-21 teaches. 1 Cor 2:14 deals with the principal that unsaved folks look at the things Christians do and consider them foolishness. Christians do not go out and drink, smoke and party like the unsaved. Christians do not fornicate and father children out of wedlock. These are things that the unsaved man considers foolishness.

My position is to glean the truths in the scriptures, without having contradicting scriptures. The natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, does not hold the truth in unrighteousness. He does not hold the truth, and never has held the truth. These regenerated people referred to in Romans 1 had the truth (things of the Spirit) shown unto them. The unregenerate natural man has never understood the truth, and thinks it to be foolishness.

You fail to understand how bad the christian can become by yielding to the desires of his fleshly nature. We have no righteousness of our own, just filthy rags, except for the imputed righteousness of Christ. The sad thing is, that when we are born again, we do not lose our fleshly nature, and will carry it with us to the grave.

You have an unorthodox interpretation of 1 Cor 2"14. How did you come up with it anyway? Do you have scripture to support your theory?

I fail to see how John 3:18-21 identifies with 1 Cor 2:14.
