I mean when alex jones himself admits he's going to hell, its kindof hard to take him seriously.

Nerds assemble! :alien:
Yeah, Elvis has left the building. Alex Jones has become very successful, met many important people, and has Trump's phone number. He has done something right, you would think. I learned tons from him in the past, but it is really the same story over and over again. They are coming to get us...blah blah blah. Yes, I know, but is that all you have?!?!

Where do nerds assemble? Reddit? My old co-worker got me into reddit, it has some funny stuff on there.

This is why it is very important for a child to not be given a 18+ rated game.

Just joined up on this website to try to find some fellow Christian nerds to talk to. Whats up everyone?! I see this thread hasn't been touched since July, would love it to make a come back as finding fellow nerds who are also believers in my area is pretty tough.

Nerds unite! Thanks for keeping the thread alive. Yes, with the lock down in place, meeting people in public is becoming more challenging.

Are you a gamer? I haven't been playing as much lately, but if I have a half an hour, might play Team Fortress 2.

What books have you read? What music you listen to normally? Just questions to start discussion.

Oh yeah, I play a lot of RPGs. Kingdom Hearts 2 will forever be my all time favorite game! I've never played TF2 but I hear a lot about it, it seems like it could be fun.

I'm super into anime so I read a manga a lot, Bleach being my favorite. For normal books I love the Harry Potter books and the older Star Wars books from the 90s era.

My music taste is very weird, I can be listening to Skillet or Linkin Park one minute and then Hatsune Miku (a Japanese hologram singer if you don't know who that is) the next.

What are some of your favorite games (if you have any other than TFS), books, and music?

I liked All Star Blazers as a kid and Lupin the 3rd as an adult, as far as anime goes. Some girls at work draw anime and I like their work. It's creative. Never heard of manga or Bleach.

Skillet has some good songs.

As far as video games, used to play...

PC: Battlefield 4, Wolfenstein/Enemy Territory, and the original Halo was fun!
Wii: Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario Brothers.
Playstation 3: Madden, Journey, and NHL Hockey Game.

Books...The Firm, Pilgrims Progress, Christian Soup for the Christian Soul, Anti-Christ and Cup of Tea, and bunch of textbooks from school.

Music...Lots of stuff. Been listening to Ace of Base, Johnny Cash, and Led Zeppelin lately. Listen to a lot of secular, and Christian music.

Hatsune Miku? Never heard of that artist. What's your favorite song?

Hi someone I know is looking for games that don’t involve magic or “close up/gory” Killing of people. ( I don’t need a lecture on them being legalistic :) )I just want to help them follow their conscience on this matter and thought you all seem to know a lot about games, can you suggest anything that might be good please. Not meaning to hijack the thread but you all seem to know a lot so seemed the best place to ask.

I think Portal and Portal 2 are good. Puzzle solving game with sarcastic humor, that you win by using your mind by making portals (sci-fi). It's on many different platforms.

Risk for ipad is a strategy with no violence. A dice game that you try to conquer the world.

Hope this helps!

So manga is the Japanese equivalent to an American comic book, only you read it right to left and in my options manga are better than comics.

Hatsune Miku is a "character" from a computer music creation program called Vocaloid. Basically she's a completely fake computer program that can be programmed to sing however and whatever you want.

So if you played NHL games do you have any interest in the sport itself? I'm a huge hockey fan!

Absolutely! I went to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver and say two hockey games there. Really fun times! Also, seen a few hockey games in Anaheim, California.....Ducks! They really haven't been the same since Pronger left.

Who is your team?

Survival/horror? Is Dead Space on the list?

(Though I wouldn't quite qualify it as "survival" because it's easy to beat on highest difficulty. Scavenge ammo, sell off ammo you don't need to buy ammo you do need and you're good to go for anything the game throws at you.)

Just make sure every shot counts. Spray-and-pray and you're dead.

I have a Xbox 360 so the first two games are within my reach lol. I may save them for later. (I've heard 3 was very disappointing)

Dead space 3 was decent for what it was... A third person shooter with elements of dead space. If you go in expecting a survival horror game, and most people did because it had the name Dead space on it, you will be disappointed, and most people were.

I was quite a fan of ist person shooters. Bioshock 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Doom 3 were my favourites.
Now that I'm middle-aged, sudoku and word puzzles are now my primary games. *laughs*

NHL 20 on the PS4 is amazing. Hockey games nowadays look so life like. I’m a casual hockey fan... go Avs :)

was talking to some librarians, some of them stock Bleach and other manga, and some dont at all and their children dont even know what manga is and have zero interest in it.

I dont have manga in my library, nobodys ever asked for it. I also dont have video games, as they are more trouble than they worth, cos the children just hog the computer and become real obnoxious when they are playing those things.
