Because she made her mind clear several times during the thread, after some attacked her.
I even made it clear in the thread in which I said I would start this thread

but when certain types decide to whisper in the corner and try to damage the character of others, which shows their own character, their consciences are seared over from that activity and it will never dawn on them that what they are doing is not at all 'Christian'

they are behaving much like the liberal media....the 2 Hebrew Roots adherents...and best ignored

Amen. The message of this thread was intended to be "Jesus Broke the Yoke" . That is exactly what the Law was. It was to show man his utter depravity, hopelessness, and inability to save himself. Jesus broke the chains and bars of that old Jailhouse. Some sad souls still hold that old prison in deep reverence to this very day. It was to show us our need for a Savior, not to be worshipped and adored.

thank you. the thread itself makes that very clear

the two Hebrew Roots people...who are obvious by their nasty tone and outright exaggerations and false claims...are just not able to comprehend because of their desire to pretend to be Jewish and keep the law, or parts thereof

so because of a couple of people making false assertions and creating a negative atmosphere I am posting again a post from several days ago, #48, in which it is very clear what the thread is really about. I will follow that with post 49. the type in green is much larger in the original to show my intent which not as falsely claimed by a few people here who obviously have an agenda since I disagreed with their Hebrew Roots beliefs.

"lenna, post: 4398317, member: 297965"]lenna, post: 4397820, member: 297965"]oh no. on the Sabbath. the key to understanding this passage without taking sides with the Pharisees, is to understand the reason for the law given to Moses to give to the Israelites. reading the passage above today (read the whole chapter even better) we say we see the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, but what about those who insist Jesus was sinless and never broke any portion of the law?

so again here is a portion of the op indicating the hypocrisy of the Pharisees...religious leaders in Israel....who were following Jesus around and looking for something to condemn Him about and use against Him. (as I said reading the whole chapter gives more detail)
now when I wrote those who insist Jesus was sinless, I was referring to the obvious ways Jesus broke the law in that He healed on 'the Sabbath' and His statements indicating He considered Himself equal with God and His telling people there sins were forgiven

At every stage of those things, He was found 'guilty' of breaking the law, but not the law God always intended, which He illustrated all through His earthly life.

The 10 commandments were summed up what Jesus said here:

34And when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they themselves gathered together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested Him with a question: 36“Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?”

37Jesus declared, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’e 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’f 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22

the 10 commandments are about love. loving God with your entire being and loving your neighbor as yourself sums up the 10 commandments. if you read them, you will note that each one tells a person how to act/respond to OTHERS and most of all their obligation, but love really, to God

so in summary, Jesus did not break the law. He was sinless. He exhibited the intent of the law. the law by the time the Pharisees were making their rounds, had become far more than what had been originally handed down

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You traverse land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. Matthew 23:15

my post 49. again, some type has been exaggerated so as to make clear my intent and to refute the false claims of the Hebrew Roots adherents. sadly, those two do not believe the law was fulfilled by Jesus and continue to observe parts of the law
this is what has them stirred up, but their argument is not with me. their argument is with the New Testament

lenna, post: 4398319, member: 297965"]if I had been given half a chance, I would have summed it up like this:

1At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. 2But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.” 3He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him:
4how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? 5Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless? 6I tell you, something greater than the temple is here.
7And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. 8For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

there it is

God actually desires mercy. He prefers mercy to sacrifice.

Jesus is lord of the Sabbath

further teaching in the NT tells us that Jesus is our Sabbath rest

I wanted to concentrate on that (silly me) and discuss Jesus and how He fulfilled all of the law and showed us the true intent of the law

Jesus with his "hebrew roots" came to reconcile us with God, in a new covenant. From our Christian Word of God, we see at the "root" of the book Hebrews that our King, Jesus the Christ / Yeshua ha Mashiach can never 'break the rules' of God (and it is blasphemous to even give consideration to such a thought), and if he would have 'broken the rules' of man it is irrelevant, as man has many inconsistent, frivolous rules depending on which man makes them:

Hebrews 8 (ESV)

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Root of the word "Hebrew": to cross over (when Abraham, in whose offspring God promised all nations would be blessed, cross over the Euphrates, into a new land, after leaving his idol worshipping family, to serve the one God) : https://www.oneforisrael.org/bible-based-teaching-from-israel/what-does-the-word-hebrew-mean/

Whenever I affirm Jesus as my Sabbath rest, there is a lot of squawking with false accusations thrown at me :giggle:

haha how many would know that art is cubist? ;)

anyway, I was just going to say that the verses in that panel is exactly the answer for all the lawkeepers and other deviations from the gospel

Jesus removes the yoke...the burdens and the guilt...His yoke is easy and His burden is light

Revelation 2 (ESV)

2 "'I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. 3 I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Thank you! :) It is the first one I completed after my surgery in August (y)

I already had the figure saved on my hard drive, and in trying to ascertain the artist after putting the figure on the panel, thinking it was maybe Picasso, I looked at over eleven hundred of his works of art before coming to the conclusion that it is not :giggle: It may be one of Joe Average's, who did art in this style after being diagnosed many years ago with HIV/AIDS. He is a local artist :D

John 3 (ESV)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."

1 John 3 (ESV)

3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. 4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.
