Jesus's flesh was put to death from his birth to the cross,

by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live. Rom.6:13

those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal.5:24

When I first read that I thought it said without 'skin'.

Well, that's weird... I thought. That whole sentence is weird. I was thinking at first, who is the First divine person, Adam? No, you must mean of the three 'persons' the Lord Jesus is the 2nd divine person...

I don't know why we have to agree with anyone's first principle. Did God die? Yes, on the cross. Then He resurrected to show He was God...

People try so hard to separate the Lords humanity from His Godhood but I don't think we understand enough to make guesses about it.

Without skin...lol and it seemed you were open to it for a couple seconds ...that was funny! Like a child. Says alot grandpa.

I sensed Roxanne doesn't believe Jesus is God I think you sensed that too. so I used strictly Trinitarian terms to make the point that the Divine Person of the Trinity is the Person who is Jesus. One Person two natures.

If one believes Jesus is God belief in the Trinity follows.
You know....I'm preachin' to the choir now.:p

Philippians 2 (ESV)

5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

That is true. Forgive me. I am wrong. There is not one God but several.
Maybe rather tell us what you believe so we can have a discussion about it. The way you are presenting your statements are questionable and it seems like you are trolling.

You have proven to me that there is not one God, as I believed but several.

The Bible teach us Jesus is the Alef and the Tav; the first and the last. He was there from the start (John 1:1 & Col1:16).

Neither refer to Jesus.
Yes, they do. Jesus identifies Himself as the speaker. From the same chapter of Rev, 22:12-16

“Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one
according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First
and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

”Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life
and may enter the city by its gates. But outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually
immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.”

Revelation 22:16-17 :)

So if faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, then does faith come by hearing the Son of God or reading the Bible? So where does hope come from since it is written, you are saved by hope?
Hello UnoiAmarah!

Well, you are correct in that faith comes by hearing or reading the word of God. Hope is linked with faith it that believers are hopefully in the promises that God has made to us. For example, once it has been read in the word of God, every believer should be looking forward to the blessed hope, which is the appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. He gave us the promise that He went to the Father's house to prepare places for us and that He was coming back to get us to take us there. He also told us how He was going to do that in I Thessalonians 4:16-18 and I Corinthians 15:51-53. So, all believers should have this hope.

As far as being saved by hope, it is the hope of in Christ's payment for our sins and His promise of eternal life.

Just curious, what scripture are you referring to which specifically says "you are saved by hope."

God has always existed. Jesus did not exist until God impregnated his mother.
While it is true that the body of the Word of God did not come into existence until Mary gave birth to Him, His spirit still existed from eternity. Jesus of Nazareth is the body that God the Father prepared for Him and which He still resides in. Remember the following scripture:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning."

That Word was miraculously inserted into the body which became Jesus Christ. I'll go out on a limb and say that, when the Lord appeared before Abraham, it was probably in the same form that He would eventually be born in as Jesus.
