Nope. The reasons why the Spirit reproves the world are in the text. What does it mean that the Spirit reproves the world of righteousness? Come on, I know you can do it.
What is righteousness, friend? And what does "the Spirit will convict the world of Righteousness" mean?!
Think about it.
Jesus is the LORD our Righteousness. To convict the world of righteousness is to convict the world of the righteousness that comes from faith in Christ alone. Or better, it is to bring to light the righteousness that is by faith in Christ alone.
The Spirit brings to light sin, conviction of sin.
The Spirit brings to light the righteousness of Christ. Look to Him and be saved.
The Spirit brings to light that the prince of the world is judged. When was the prince of the world judged? At the cross. The Spirit brings to light THE CROSS and the judgement and defeat of the enemy and the redemption price that was paid for our sin.

Yes, the Spirit brings righteousness to light because Jesus went to the Father, and we see Him no more. The Spirit brings Christ's righteousness to light to the world, because Christ is the only Righteous One, and the only MEANS by which man can be made rightoueous.
The Spirit brings to light sin. Showing us our guilt.
The Spirit brings to light righteousness. Showing that Christ is Righteous, is the Holy One, and the Lord our Righteousness.
The Spirit brings to light judgement. Because satan was defeated at the cross, and we are free through Christ's work on the cross.
Convicts of sin, points to Christ, points to the cross.
The Spirit convicts of sin. All have sinned.
The Spirit convicts of righteousness. There is none righteous, save Jesus.
The Spirit convicts of judgement. Satan has been judged and defeated.

What is the righteousness that the world needs to be convicted of? I don't think you know. We know that the sin that the world needs to be convicted of is contextually unbelief. So what is the remedy for the sin of unbelief?
Perhaps putting your trust in someone else's righteousness instead of your own. Because the verse does say that the righteousness is referring to Jesus, and the world is seeing Jesus no more. So what does the Spirit convict the world of? The righteousness of Christ Himself. Which interestingly enough, becomes our righteousness in justification.
The Spirit points out the sin of our unbelief, points to the Righteousness of Christ, and then to the victory at the cross over satan.
Which brings us to our point. DO you believe in imputed righteousness?
Apart from Grace? Of course I believe in total inability apart from Grace. Unto us it is GRANTED not only to believe but also to suffer for His sake. Philippians 1:29. The greek word translated "granted" is charizomai, which is related to the word "charis" or grace. It has been graced to us, freely given to us, given graciously to us TO BELIEVE.
