12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:Exactly what I said. We are already adopted but have not entered into the fullness of it yet.
John 1.12

What not who...

Through the new birth .Not Adoption. We recieve the Spirit until the redemption of the body . Whats the redemption of the body ? The Adoption.Beloved NOW are we the sons of God.

There's your problem Ephesians 1:4 says According as HE has chose US in Him before the foundation of the world. You change the word "us' to "our blessings"
5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might recieve the adoption of sons.Read Galatians 4:5-7
5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might recieve the adoption of sons.
Read Galatians 4:5-7'
4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born[a] of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, [b]“Abba, Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir [c]of God [d]through Christ.
The sonship Paul is discussing is contextually speaking about the adoption. And he uses the present tense to describe their position. Beacus YOU ARE sons
Yes, the spiritual blessings are in accordance to what God has chose us in him before the foundation of the world. It clearly does not say that he chose us TO BE in him...
It is so certain that we now can be called a son of God even though we wait for the future adoption.
Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Yes, the spiritual blessings are in accordance to what God has chose us in him before the foundation of the world. It clearly does not say that he chose us TO BE in him...
What does "in accordance to what God has chosen us in Him" mean? The sentence doesn't make sense.
But you don’t?Yes Paul used those words and man uses those words to suit their doctrines sadly .
It means that what God has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world are the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places. Even before we were in Christ these blessings were chosen. If we want to get in on these blessings we must first trust in Christ.
We also have a verse saying we are being sanctifiedWe have a verse that says we ARE sanctified.
Doesn't change the fact that Galatians 4:6 states that adoption is a present reailty.
God knows who are his sons by the seal, his Holy Spirit that he has placed within every believer, even though we do not yet appear to be sons. We will finally have his appearance at the future adoption...perfect, sinless body, soul and spirit.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
OK, grammar question...what is the direct object of the clause "God chose us"?
