Luke 16:10 NIV “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
God, who is the creator of the heavens and Earth has given everything he created, and that we have on Earth, for us to use. (Genesis 1:28 NIV "God blessed them (man) and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”) Since what we have, is not ours but has been given to us, we should use it wisely. A man's faithfulness is measured by what he does with whatever amount of it he has been given. People who suppose that if they were rich they would give large sums to charity, and yet give nothing from their meager possessions, are deceiving themselves. We should therefore invest what has been given to us wisely. Those who bury the one talent of this world's wealth will never make the most of the five talents of spiritual riches. (Matthew 25:24-30 The Parable of the Talents)
