If the "law is part of scripture, but it is not given to the Church as legal code by which the church must abide" what in you opinion is something of scripture that we are to abide to?

According to history (that is something that shows us how God works in the world) every time a society turned to the Lord, there was a change in their behavior. They listened to God's law.
The law states you are to sacrifice animals to the lord! Do you carry out these commands if the law?

Why in the world would you make up such a story about me!! I have never condemned people who believe that God cancelled Sabbath and substituted Sunday. I have said over and over that God created a Sabbath to be the seventh day. That does not say "I condemn".

If you follow any person instead of following the Lord, it is wrong. Why would you or any Christian follow an very old rather dull woman? I may speak about scripture, but that is not asking anyone to follow me, it is asking them to think about scripture,.

This is supposed to be a Christian site!!!!
umm...are you suffering from short term memory loss?

this post of yours here is nothing but a red herring

you NEVER actually address what a person responds to you with, but claim 'oh I am so innocent. I never said such a thing. oh how could you.'

well I could and I did because of what you wrote

I imagine you were very good at the game of dodge ball as a child

The OT "stuff" is the Lord speaking to mankind. If you are a Christian who loves the Lord, you do not push His word off with calling it "OT stiff", you listen to the Lord who you love.
I probably know, as in have studied and understand, the Old Testament better than you and it is required reading/understanding for the new in my opinion.

no one here is pushing off the Old Testament. that is simply another one of your dodges where you claim 'oh no one loves God like I do.'

do you understand what false teaching is? you are doing it

she is sacrificing her integrity by never answering what people actually write

sad
I just thinks it’s funny when they slam us for saying one aspect of the law does not apply when they do not obey every aspect of the law.

it's like a religious hydra of some kind

you address one aspect of it, bang! another one pops up

this alone proves it is not the gospel as Jesus states HE is the truth

and there is only one

oh and when you don't respond to the pity party, you get anger...teeth barred...I don't mean the human

I am probably saying too much :cautious:

but tell me everyone.....what spirit is it that tries to persuade us that Jesus sacrifice was not enough and we have to also do this or that in order to be saved?

blik is telling us we do not have the truth and we do not love God

seriously? see it for what it is.

I carry out the Lord's command to accept Christ. The sacrifice of animals was done as a symbol of Christ, it was done because God gave blood for the forgiveness of sin. The Lord tells us that if we sacrifice animals for that, now Christ has come, it is denying Christ and I would not do that.

Your question makes me wonder if you believe in repentance?

We are given free choice and God never tells us we "have to". You speak of "Blik" as if Blik has any power at all, do you search scripture or listen to Blik? And if Blik is telling you that you do not have the truth, get the evidence for where your mouth is.

Where do you find scripture telling you that you need not obey the law? Christ said if you love me you will obey me. I find no scripture telling us to disobey, please produce it if you are so sure it is scripture.

that's a lame horse blik

in fact, it died due to lack of water some time back...double meaning here by the way

however I believe you when you say you cannot find certain scriptures. they are in your Bible and have been quoted to you over and over and over

like I said, now you are getting angry because I didn't buy the boo hoo part of your posts

telling me to find my mouth is what? joy, peace and happiness?

didn't think so.

God would never tell us to disobey. but who had obeyed all of the law? NO ONE. that is why Jesus fulfilled it for us and as Paul tells us, we are to let no one judge us according to any of the old laws that are only in effect for those who refuse Christ

that should sober up even the most ardent Sabbath keeper.

you would think........

6Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, 7rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

8See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. 10And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

11In Him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of your sinful nature, with the circumcision performed by Christb and not by human hands. 12And having been buried with Him in baptism, you were raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.

13When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses, 14having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross! 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

16Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. 17These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body that casts it belongs to Christ.c 18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you with speculation about what he has seen. Such a person is puffed up without basis by his unspiritual mind. 19He has lost connection to the head, from whom the whole body, supported and knit together by its joints and ligaments, grows as God causes it to grow.

20If you have died with Christ to the spiritual forces of the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its regulations: 21“Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!”? 22These will all perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23Such restrictions indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-prescribed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment of the body; but they are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

really we have services on Sunday because that is the day of the week Jesus Rose from the dead. WE Preach arisen Lord not a dead one.
Our rest is in his death the labors of Christ filling all necessary labors.
Friday night would have been the start of the Sabbath day.
His resurrection is our active hope, the reason we purify ourselves just as he is pure.

In his death we where laid hold of.
In the price paid we rest, in the provision of God we trust.
By his life we lay hold of its purpose for which he laid hold of us.
In this hope we labor, we sanctify ourselves as faithful servants of his life and show ourselves as Children of God or not.
Mostly by our love for the brethren.

well the point is none of us are guilty if we actually have the faith to believe Jesus is our only way out of our situation. thing is we are told those who want to keep the law are under a curse

then you will hear they are not keeping the law. well what are they doing then? poking at it with a stick?

what miffs me, is the constant ignoring of scripture and the false indignation and then the anger

but holier than thou describes it for sure. all that talk about Revelation and those who truly love God. well God knows who truly loves Him

The problem is they demand we meet a standard they can not meet themselves.
But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each one’s work impartially, conduct yourselves in reverent fear during your stay as foreigners For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life ... - 1 Peter 1:15-18

We do not compromise the word of God.
We can let it judge us or we can play judge of others.

You mean forgiven?
Because only the guilty are forgiven.
