But in Mat 26 it is not Passover, it was before Passover
the Passover is when Yahshua/Jesus was Sacrificed
John 13:1-2,Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. In Matthew 26:26-29 what kind of bread is used; leavened or unleavened?
Interesting, it was Passover week, when all leaven was destroyed, so unleavened bread would have been the only that was available.

The feast of Unleavened bread starts the day after the Passover, the supper was even the day before that, so at that time there would have been no need for the leaven to be destroyed. There was a full 2 days before the feast of Unleavened bread started.
Also consider the Greek language, artone is leavened bread and azumos is unleavened bread

The story does not have to specify that this was “unleavened bread” because that was the only kind of bread that would have been available that week. "
