We should not be focused on the “flat” adjective of the earth, we should be focused upon that which the Bible describes. So, the Biblically inspired earth model is another term for a Geo-centric universe. In Genesis 1:14-19, the creation of the sun and the moon on the fourth day, in verse 14, 15 and 17, it is written that the sun and the moon were placed IN the firmament, or the expanse of the heavens. According to the Heliocentric universe model, the sun is 93 million miles away, and of course, orbiting the sun. But the Bible clearly teaches the earth is fixed and immovable: 1 Chronicles 16:30; Psalms 93:1; 96:10; 104:5; Isaiah 45:18. In Joshua 10 when the Israelites were fighting the five confederate nations, Joshua commanded the sun to stand still over Gibeon, vs. 12. Verse 14 says the LORD listened to Joshua. In a legal system, words are important. If this universe was Heliocentric, Joshua would have commanded the Earth to stand still. There are many more proofs for the Biblically inspired earth model, but remember NASA is filled with GOD haters who desire to discredit GOD and creationism at any cost, including lying. One more thought: after six decades of low earth orbit, we have never seen a true image of the earth, only computer generated images of variations of the blue marble. I encourage you to disallow cognitive dissonance to overrule your reasoning and search the Scriptures to see if this be so. GOD bless.
I’m not allowing what I see to rule my mind, I just believing the earth orbits the Sun, and that the earth isn’t flat.

I’m not going to let “one bad apple ruin the whole bunch”, I very much like NASA, I went to the space center (The one in Houston) as a Kid and find the stuff they do, like sending a man to the moon, incredibly interesting and important. The Bible definitely comes first, I don’t think we evolved from monkeys, but I think science/technology is important, God gave us the intelligence to create and invent. I know sometimes people have had bad experiences with the technology/science fields, but like I said earlier: “Don’t let one bad apple ruin the whole bunch” ^_^

But, one bad apple does spoil the whole. That is a straw man argument. The Bible is accepted as objective truth in the Christian community. NASA is a subjective truth according to the understanding of man. If you investigate the many lies and atrocities of NASA, you will understand. I was once a student of NASA, but I had to choose between the truth of the Bible and the lies of this world.

I'm just leaving this here to hopefully make someone laugh, no I don't think the earth is flat and you can't convince me to change my mind:

From May 7th, 2020-
"I literally saw the worst thing at work, a car covered in 4 “Flat Earth” stickers, including “The bible says the earth is flat”, a NASA logo but it says “Lies” instead of NASA, and one of the stickers had a website link to the “Flat Earth Doctrine”...help the stupidness is too much, lol XD"

But anyway, to whoever read my post, have a nice and god blessed day ^_^
Flat-liners are often amusing.

Are you going to let one bad cop make you hate all cops?

Are you going to let that one racist human make you see how you see the rest of America?

I don’t care if you agree with me, yes maybe those lies have spread into other parts of NASA, but I proudly support them, they aren’t hurting anyone. If they support BLM or the LGTBQ then I might reconsider, but they are such an important part of history. First photos of earth, and the astronauts saw earth, but hey, what do I know? I’m just a Asperger’s syndrome woman who thinks it’s better if you don’t like me or my opinions, THEN HATE ME, please and thanks. I always tell people it’s easier to hate me than it is to love me, just being honest.

Have a nice day! ^_^

NASA is not the only space exploration enterprise. Also, now there are private space exploration companies. All truth is subjective unless it is confirmed by scripture.

I do not hate you. We can disagree without hatred. But, you are comparing apples to oranges. I reassert, I am referring to truth according to the Bible, not man. To employ your logic, man has attempted to deny the Deity, virgin birth, sinlessness, and sacrifice of CHRIST; but that is disproven by the Bible.

Those people will be everywhere because we live in a fallen world, the only thing we can do is to pray that they will hopefully come to God and show the love God has for them through our kindness. But God determines everything in the end.

I just get so angled into the hate stuff because that’s what I see my generation do, I really don’t like my generation, that’s why I refuse to call myself a millennial. Plus, I was told so many times “Ah, Sarah is so nice, she wouldn’t hurt a fly” and just hearing that triggered something in me and it wanted me to become more aggressive, because sometimes I don’t step up for myself and get pushed down, as being “too nice”. I believe I have mellowed out a bit thanks to the lord, but I still need to grow up, yes a 25 year old woman doesn’t feel all grown up yet, and I see nothing wrong with that.

I’m thinking of making a thread soon because it is a good thing to discuss: “Can we come to God, or does God already have chosen people he wants to save?”. It’s from one of my bible studies and I think it would help to get some people thinking, because there are many scriptures that say “we come to believe in God” and “God has chosen us to believe in him”, it’s all interesting and complex stuff.

We all need to mature until we come unto the fullness of the stature of CHRIST, Eph 4:13. I hate no one, but lies, because I value the truth. To answer your thread subject, predestination is for those who believe the truth. The LORD JESUS said that who will believe, John 3:16. Of course, in Matthew 5 He said that few will choose the strait and narrow way. But, the Calvinistic predestination is contradictory to Scripture.

Trump. Flat Earth. Calvinists. 🤯
( I agree with 2 of the 3 views you presented. Which 2? Keep ‘em guessing. 🤔 )

Bam,...right out of the gate!
...you touched on 3 of the most touchy subjects here within a handful of your 1st posts.

Impressive. Most impressive.
Opinions here are all over the place.
Subject to change.
Proceed with caution. Use your blinkers.
Some tend to zero in on new members and the opinions they “bring to the table”
Use a fork.

Good Luck, Brother.

Thank you, my brother. I like your humor and appreciate the warning. I am accustomed to not being accepted. The President is subjective unto opinion, unless one actually researches him. Faith aside, he is a patriot who loves America and has proven that.
As far as Calvinism and Biblical Earth Model, I defer to the truth contained in the Word of GOD. I know detractors of both will say “your interpretation”, but when the Bible is understood, there is “no private interpretation” 2 Peter 1:21. I hold no denominational affiliation, I only label myself as a Biblicist, and I rejoice in the truth. If we all can walk in love, then the truth prevails. Salvation is only in JESUS CHRIST, the only name given among men whereby we must be saved; so, ultimately, if we agree upon the LORD JESUS, that is all that matters.

I dig anyone who isn’t afraid to speak up and defend their opinions.

How can anyone not respect that? I may not always agree, but l can still respect it. Sure, there will always and in all ways be disagreements which may lead to bickering especially when some feel that their calling is stamp anyone/all who they deem *“wrong” (*by their standards of course)

Its a testament from God that He made us all unique, and we come packaged differently. Some take different paths that appear to have many bumps, but in the end if they are seeking Him wholeheartedly ...that’s all that matters.....But...Once again, it doesn’t matter what l think, it matters what He thinks.

Many seem to get intimidated and close up, afraid of how the masses will see them or in fear of rejection.
So sad to see.

In a world where they are slowly stripping us of tiny freedoms, our opinions, feelings and how we view truth are about the only things we own outright.

( I think? I may have a few more monthly payments to go, but l should be entitled to my opinions Spring-ish?...maybe Summer of 2021? I let you know how l feel about them when they allow me to ) 🤔

I agree 100%. We are all unique and individual opinions are unique as well. I like your colorful metaphors. As aforementioned, you possess good humor.

We all are entitled to that, Dear Friend. (For now)
Thats a freedom every human deserves!

Im reminded of a few songs, please, feel free to join in....

If l could teach the world to sing,
Red or Yellow, Black and White, they/we are precious in His sight.

(Man...Is that gonna be attacked by the Cancel Culture Vultures?)

Okay...technically, there aren’t any “Yellow” people. (I really hope I don’t offend any characters from ‘The Simpsons’ by refusing to acknowledge them as “people” )

(Now the libs who hate on me/my opinions because they think I’m being “hateful” will commence)

That 'for now' part is probably prophetic if the Dems win the White House and the Senate. An opinion that is contrary to their warped mindset would be classified as a hate crime.

I am a more serious mentor of mind, your humor is light and tasteful. I bet you are a crack up in person, like Robbin Williams, a laugh a second. But, you are right in this politically correct society, opinions are important and needed. Opinions shaped the great Constitution, and assisted the great endeavor to form more perfect union. I like opinions, as long as opinion do not violate the Word of GOD, then that becomes heresy. Keep that light spirit, I am positive it has helped you win friends.

My brother, you are free to believe that which you want to believe. But, unless you can prove to me from Scripture that this universe is Heliocentric, I stand on the many proofs in the Word of GOD. Not NASA, but the Bible. I realize that Geocentric supporters are thought of as crazy by the Heliocentric supporters, but the LORD and His apostles were thought of as crazy by the Pharisees (I am not claiming to be in that great class) so this does not deter the position.
If this is/was intended for me, then I suggest you severely misunderstood post #2018 -- I agree with you!

I was merely inserting the words you left out of your post - go back and read post #2016 to see what I mean.

I am glad you are here and willing to speak the truth concerning what the Bible says about the true nature of the Earth.

For a 25 year old you have a certain measure of wisdom.
Thanks ^_^

I think my wisdom comes from me trying my best to be humble and the all the things I’ve learned in life. I was that kid that watched Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and Cartoon Network mostly, plus in school I would mostly read informational books on animals, well into my Middle School years. So I think I’ve always just liked learning, and I remember my favorite subjects in school being Science and History. History is just so interesting in my opinion, and I think it is very important to teach history to children in school, everything even the bad stuff. I still remember when I learned about Hitler in the 7th grade, I was so pissed off a human being like him existed and figured he doesn’t deserve mercy, but learning that stuff made me realize how important that part of history was, and how we should strive to not repeat the mistakes of the past. It legit irritates me that people try to “History shame” white people, we know we did bad, and those people shouldn’t be comparing of what happened back then to today, mindsets and the cultural environment was legit different. If it interests me, I can probably watch a documentary/TV show on History. Oh yeah, I was also the type of kid that loved special features on any DVD and would listen to commentary over a movie. That’s why I think I like learning, cause as a kid I was just into learning stuff.

Young sis, none of us deserve mercy, only justice, that is where Grace comes in. Grace is the extended goodness of GOD to undeserving man. As far as politics, ignore the bad and remember that your values are more important than stupid causes.
